Does anyone buy from Temu?

My ds wants a clock for Christmas and the day boy place which I can find exactly what he’s looking for is Temu.

I’ve never ordered from there before and I don’t really want to tbh, but is there any chance it will be ok and actually work?

I have purchased some items from Temu. The thing is that it is a Market Place with hundreds of traders I have been happy with the items I received, however I would not buy any expensive items. I only ever pay with PayPal and won't shop with Amazon because they won't provide it..
I certainly wouldn't buy a present for some other person. Some things are definitely a hit or a miss .

The stuff from Amazon is the same, Etsy is full of items that sellers have bought in bulk from Temu.
This. You might think you're avoiding them but it's virtually impossible.

You can avoid them by just not buying unbranded, untested stuff online regardless of whether it's Amazon or Temu or Shein.

I genuinely don't understand the mindset though, ok you know it might have toxic chemicals or unsafe components that could injure you or your family, but it's worth taking the risk because..?

I tried once. Clothes. Not as described and awful quality. It went back. Never again and absolutely never for gift. I wouldn't trust it.

Most of what is available on Temu is the same stuff on Amazon anyway, it’s just not already being stored in the UK!

I have bought so much from Temu over the last year and would say that 75% is perfect, 15% is not what I expected but still ok and 10% is crap. I’ve bought linen and cotton clothes, wool jumpers, costume jewellery, cleaning products, ornaments, towels, bedding.

If it's unsafe it's unsafe, does it matter if you buy it from Temu or Amazon?
