Link would help.

ClarasSisters · 25/11/2025 19:27

Sorry. Picture wasn't there when I posted. Does the 10yo like it? Or is it a gift?

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 19:27

thanks. I’ve attached a pic but don’t think it’s been approved yet maybe

What would she use it for - school, or extra curricular like sport/dance etc?

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 19:30

After school activities and weekends I think as it’s small for school

Savoretti · 25/11/2025 19:54

Is she Year 6? I’d say it’s a little young for that age group sorry

Savoretti · 25/11/2025 19:54

Though I would say it’s huge for school!

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 19:58

Year 5 but I don’t want her to feel it’s too childish . Anyone with year 5 or 6 girls what backpacks are they into at the moment ?

Is that furry feet at the bottom?

Cute if you are 7, seriously uncool if you are 10.

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 20:07

Yes furry dangly legs! I’m so glad I posted. Just about to attach an alternative before I end up with a disaster

would this pass the cool/desired test?

Op I'm a teacher and this is nott the type of backpack that girls are liking at the mo. They are more colourful and often the shape of a fjallraven, then with little things dangling off them. I'll try and find a link to a similar thing. Hang on

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 20:40

consideringparttime thank you soooo much . Is fjallraven itself ok/popular with 10 year olds? Or I’ve seen a brand called Hype? Galaxy designs and similar . Your help from the cutting edge of 10 year old coolness is invaluable

sparkle17 · 25/11/2025 20:46

Hype bags are uses quite a lot at my kids school

Consideringparttime · 25/11/2025 20:48

Fjallravens are really expensive so most have copy types or similar shapes like the one above. The other thing that's popular is pins , little enamel ones to put on your backpack..
Primark is best place , or typo, Claires accessories etc

wantom · 25/11/2025 21:05

Lovely thread, great seeing all the very helpful replies from those who KNOW about these things. Like OP I am clueless, but filing away this info stat!

Ferretedaway · 25/11/2025 21:18

Wantom. It’s so helpful to get input from those in the know I agree. Just seen the price of fjallraven so that’s not happening !!!

I actually got some enamel bag charms so I seem to have got that right! Just the backpack to go but will go for rectangle shape and bright colour . Thanks again

Ok last question . How about black flowery one for 7 yr old and one of the other two for the 10 year old . Both with cute charms
