DH has asked for this for christmas

He works in a trendy office and wants a coffee cup (small ish one not massive) for coffee on the go. I’ve seen lots contigo, Stanley, moon etc but I want one that looks and feels nice as well as being functional. He won’t need it to keep stuff hot for 10 hours just for a bit longer on trains etc. any recs welcome!

@AltitudeCheck thanks. That sounds perfect.

Nespresso

Have a look at KeepCup

I have 2 sizes of the original in blue and purple

They also have a nifty looking commuter cup too, which is more insulated

I'm now considering the cold cup...

Le Creuset is missing a trick not making one of these.

(Not in cast iron, obvs.)

However, I use this one, compact and you can lock it and throw it in a bag

Another vote for Keep cup

I've been through so many coffee cups and this is my favourite. Easy to clean, keeps hot long enough, right size, taper means it fits in any cup holder and any hand.

I agree - I’ve had loads, but there is nothing that comes even close to beating the Nespresso touch. Best travel mug ever!

Was also going to suggest Oceanbottle. DSS got the orange one and he loves it

SurferRona · 22/11/2025 18:29

Contigo for travel, OH has it, leakproof and keeps coffee warm. I use huskees, but I only like small drinks, flat white, cortados etc so don’t need a bucket.

These are great, nice design, not too big.

I have a yeti and I love it, really comfy to hold although I wish I had gone for the slightly bigger one!

ChocolateSardine · 23/11/2025 00:37

Another vote for Bru. Ceramic lined and leak proof were my requirements and Bru delivers on both counts.

MisterT373 · 23/11/2025 03:01

Yeti is my recommendation. A multitude of sizes & colours . Ones that fit into car cup holders or can be put in your bag . Dishwasher safe too. New colours due out in the next few weeks.

Bellavida99 · 23/11/2025 14:51

Yeti or the Nespresso chrome one are my favourites and I’ve had both for a few years and they still look new

Cakeandusername · 23/11/2025 15:49

Love my chillys and doesn’t leak. Hated contingo I threw it away as it leaked.

moreshitandnofuckingredemption · 23/11/2025 18:20

Stanley Aerolight here, doesn't leak, fits in the car cup holder, comes in different sizes, love mine

I'd second this, it's the best coffee cup I've had and still going strong after 4 years

We have two different nespresso ones, one of the ‘Touch’ style a PP mentioned and another I can’t see on the website with a silicone band round. They’re both 5-7 years old and have been used a lot; dropped (memorably DS, at about 18m old, once chucked one of them down the street - it was empty!) and even allowed to go mouldy (I have a memory like a sieve). They are fantastic; they may be old now but they still keep drinks hot for ages (far longer then most travel mugs we’ve tried), wash beautifully no matter how much penicillin you've tried to grow in them, don’t taint or stain (including the lids) and I think they’re quite stylish too, even when dented 🤣
