Does anyone love their bedside table?

Having been searching for ages and not found anything that I really like. We have Ikea ones at the moment (improbably named Bjorksnas). They are OK but not inspiring. Has anyone found one they would recommend?

We just bought random ones at house clearance auctions 20 years ago, job done.

I couldn't find any either, many are too boxy imo. I ended up with a couple of side tables which I do like, but would have preferred something with a drawer. I like those JL marble topped ones, might go in store and check them out so thanks to that PP!

Go to the website never too small they are architects who have awesome ideas. Sometimes a lower bedside table is easier to place phone etc onto from lying down position. They shouldn't interfere with making the bed. You can use a desk as a bedside table you can even use a shelf unit with basket storage. If it's just style you can try going retro like 1940s with matching lamp etc. or 1950s etc. taller narrow wooden bedside tables can look very nice and they can be styled for different genders, and styles easily with paint. You can get a bedside table from futon shop but it's very low. You can buy shelf units that wrap around bed head . If u r truly bored u could expenditure on a bed shop bedside cabinet with material covering and glass top. Or look at marble or gold effect items that are meant for end tables. Last but not least you can use a dressing table or a chest of drawers as a bedside table. Don't forget the value of what you put on the bedside table: a crystal candle holder in rose tinted glass or a bowl of pot pourri with natural oils or a model of star trek enterprise it all sets the tone of what u wake up to and go to sleep to. Try British heart Foundation shop for intriguing finds in furniture.

I've got a G-Plan Brandon bedside cabinet. My mum bought the whole bedroom set when she first started work and this has been my bedside cabinet off and on since I was about 2. It's quite dinky and you can't fit much in it but it's nice and solid. I don't like the ones with gaps at the bottom - it's just a space for dust to accumulate.

I have this as a bedside table, and I love it. It’s taller than standard nightstands, has tons of storage, looks stylish, and I love the metamorphic aspect. I bought it at auction and paid a lot less than this website suggests. I would recommend The Saleroom (auction aggregator), or eBay, for similar pieces.

I have a very sturdy carved ebonised Victorian occasional table. The shelf underneath has a little "fence" around so stuff can't fall off it.
Was tempted by a pair of marble topped chamber pot cupboards but thought they didn't have enough space on top for all my junk 😁

Mine is a little antique chest of drawers - they are usually easy to pick up or find on ebay and they're often cheap because people don't want anything so small. Antique shops often have dinky little tables that are much less chunky-looking than modern furniture.

Mine too!

It has three drawers and it's just a few inches higher than my bed.

Depends on era of house, but I love these: https://ebay.us/m/mOsIG2
I love drawers beside my bed as gives me storage space for essentials.
