It's time 🎵🎶 well nearly, 2 hours and change until it drops. It should be 10.30.
Its my favourite time of year but as usual I will probably be useless and depend heavily on mumsnetters for help to decipher.

I searched and couldn't find another thread if there's one already up and running ill delete this.

Edited for proper link

Just discovered this today! I am on 18/20 thanks to this thread but am stuck on the Calendar and the Mug. Help!

Help me with a seasons books clue! I'm on 19!

Brummumm · 13/11/2025 14:22

The mug is similar to the book jacket of the novel. It's a new novel. The word (not English but used in England) refers to the clue on the mug. Can be used in music too...

Any clues for the seasonal books, please? It's the only clue I'm missing and my brain is feeling scrambled! I have one word (what the seasons are put together) but can't think of the title. Is it a new or old book, fiction or non-fiction?

A modern fiction book, think of what you would do on the types of holidays mentioned in the book titles. It is a 6-word title.

Thanks to the clues here I am now only stuck on the mug. However, I had better get on with some work before the day passes me by completely.

MotherOfCatBoy · 13/11/2025 14:24

@Brummumm seasons books - what are all the breaks about? Opposite of active. It was a novel a few years ago, 6 word title.

The mug clue is an Italian word which is also used for a piece of music in between two acts of an opera/longer performance.

And it's not seasons, but what the seasons added together make up.

burblish · 13/11/2025 14:27

@groovejet @MotherOfCatBoy Thank you for the season clues - I have it now! Finally, all 20 done and I can get on with my actual day job again 😄

MotherOfCatBoy · 13/11/2025 14:30

I am being thick about the calendar … I thought it was a Sebastian Faulks but it won’t accept it..

I still need three: the mug, the calendar and the seasonal books (again, I have one word but nothing else). (Edited because I just found the clocks one)

I am still missing
The woman
seasonal books
the mug
Books on the table
Clock tree
Calender
the star
and the dog
would appreciate some clues that have not already been said as they are not working for me

@dragoncheeselady the star one - the title isn't about the star itself. One word that describes the motion or path of the books in the air around the central star.

The dog shares the name of a main character in a classic novel.

@MotherOfCatBoy What are the time periods marked on the calendar?

I've tried every combination I can think of for "during the day"... am I on the right lines?

The word star or stars doesn't appear in the title for the star clue -- I think that's distracting a lot of people. It's the motion of the books that's important. One word. 2023 novel.

Nousernameforme · 13/11/2025 14:37

They are busy during the day they are free...

But which days are they free? Are they free at weekends? And when are they free that isn't daytime?

@Nousernameforme the painting is a six word title. What can you see in the painting and where are they? If you were describing it to someone, what would you say about what is there? (Nothing to do with night time or the boats, btw.)

Clocks - what do they represent? The present is a tree - whose is it and a tree of what (not clocks but what they represent)? If someone asked "Whose thing is that?", you'd reply...?

burblish · 13/11/2025 14:41

Nope, that's when they are busy. So when are they free?

I've been doing the same

tree (I have the key word, but cannot find a 2 word title that works)
mug (I've tried every variation on interval in google and cannot get it)
painting (I've tried every title with boats, sky, river etc)

HighLadyofTheNightCourt · 13/11/2025 14:42

Whoohooo!! Although I'm so busy I might have to delay starting it but I know I'll be back!
