Good morning from dd1's bed in her uni accommodation! It's the morning after Inhalerween at the Royal Albert Hall & I ache everywhere after dancing like a loon at the back of the arena for hours 🙈.

We're just drinking brews & eating sugar waffles from Lidl for breakfast before showering & heading out for a few hours. No idea where to, or what to do yet if anyone has any suggestions near ish to Wembley?

I've text dd2 good morning but so far she hasn't answered so I'm not sure what she's up to with their dad, yet.

This evening we're off to a much smaller, and less energetic, gig that I won tickets to!

What about all of you? 🙂

I’m having a quiet day. Going to the gym and then to a sound bath. Cinema tonight. In between I will be lolling on the sofa.

Good morning everyone. I was up at 6.40am, nice and early as usual and I’m currently sitting at the hairdressers having my long overdue highlights done. Dh is at work and dd11 is at home presumably still asleep as I haven’t heard from her yet.

I don’t have any huge plans today but I do need to do a proper clean of the house as it is vile after yet another super busy week. I have no washing to do as I managed that yesterday as I had the day off work but was in and out all day busy with dd11 so didn’t actually manage to do any cleaning. I’ll pack up the Halloween decorations and gut the house this afternoon.

We’re having an easy tea of burgers and fries, Dd11 is at a sleepover tonight and dh originally had plans to stay in instead of going to the pub as he usually does but after I spoke to both my sisters this morning and arranged for them to come round for Prosecco this evening he’s said he’s going out 😂 don’t blame him tbh! I’ll go and pick them both up at 7pm, I’m really looking forward to it, it’s been months since we had a good night in together.

Indoors day for me more studying/writing. I need to move and get on. As mumsnet has distracted me. I might get myself something decent for dinner as dp and kids are away doing other things. Non exciting day for me. It looks sunny outside and the dog needs a walk too.

Sounds like a fab evening! I love the Royal Albert Hall.
You could jump on the Chiltern Line into Marylebone, only takes 12 mins and you can head to Marylebone High Street which is really pretty and nice for a mooch.

I’vs got a day of cleaning a bedroom carpet and building a new desk! Which I’m quite excited about.
The dogs need a really good run in between.

@lucysmam my dd was at the RAH last night too. I had a late night collecting her from the train station so am only just having breakfast, and she's not up yet. No plans for me today, probably some housework, and watching Strictly this eve.

Im knackered after yesterday, so today taking ds9 for his hair cut, need to pop post office & supermarket. Change ds9 dexcom. Other than that its pizza for tea & let the kids pick a movie to watch.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I was up early and had two coffees then a cuppa with pancakes. Then I headed back to bed for a while and fell asleep. I needed it after a bad night's sleep. Today I will be pottering about. I might need to have dgs1 overnight if dd gets the phonecall from the hospital that dgs2 has to have surgery today. They're having to starve him and he's not happy! Poor wee man. So not going anywhere or doing much. A Tesco delivery is the most exciting thing ahead. Enjoy your day all.

I have a two hour stint selling poppies today. I hurt my back yesterday so will have to take a fold up chair with me. I don't want to cancel as we are short of volunteers as it is.
Nothing else planned but a clothes cull is on the to do list at some point.

Morning all, I almost forgot it was Saturday as I have been off work since Wednesday, feels like ages 👌😀
I have been up for about an hour but only just finishing my first coffee.
DH and I are car shopping later (for me) a decent, smallish, second hand car that DS can learn in, but nice enough for me to drive. I have had a lease car for about 19 years so it's a daunting thought.
Any recommendations appreciated.
Think DS is out tonight so a quiet tv dinner and wine for me and DH.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, just back from a blowy walk in bright sunshine with the dogs and I’m enjoying my usual avocado toast and a big mug of coffee.
The second load of washing is nearly finished, two more to go. I will have a big pile of ironing for tomorrow.
I might make fish chowder for dinner, I have a couple of crusty baguettes to have with it.
I’m going to crack on with sorting out my wardrobe today, three bags for the charity shop so far, at least another two and a bag of books is my aim, all being collected on Wednesday.
I’m determined to only keep clothes that I’ll actually wear, I have far, far too many, and try to look less scruffy if that’s possible! No one needs 15 pairs of jeans ffs!

Morning all! I got back from travelling this week and went straight back to work so I am a jet lagged walking dead. Meeting a friend for a dog walk then will return to my pjamas and book for the rest of the day. Just got some chicken out of the freezer to either make stir fry or curry for tea.

Just about to put some coffee on and decide what I want to do for the day. Everyone here is feeling a bit under the weather or out of sorts so it'll probably be a fairly quiet one, plus the weather is awful. DH has popped out for bacon and rolls so we'll see if that helps. DS is watching some telly but he's complaining of a sore throat - he hasn't been 100%since he had COVID at the end of September. He had a big fallout with the friend he went guising with last night, too, so is feeling quite fragile, poor thing.
I always find Halloween very stressful and this is our horribly busy season at work. So I think I'm just feeling quite worn out. House could do with a bit of a reset so might spend a wee while on that but other than that, I think we're going to have a very lazy, nurturing day - screens, crafts, boardgames, jigsaws, Japanese, maybe a gentle walk. I quite fancy some kind of spicy ramen broth for dinner, but we'll see.

Up, had breakfast, done a bit more of my jigsaw and now getting enthusiasm up to get dressed and tackle our very untidy garden as it is finally dry here.

I do love gardening but work takes it's toll so by the weekends I have run out of energy

I have walked the dog, done some tidying and a light clean around (should be done better but I can't be bothered). I am about to go to the shop to get some groceries for the weekend. Later on I will take the dog for a walk along the coast and this evening I am going to watch a friend in her choir's anniversary concert.

I've been up since 6am with the kids, kids have had a bath and I'm just about to get ready to head out to the shops. It's my first shift back tonight since having DC3. Nervous! Hope all have a good day.

On the train into London to meet DSIS for a visit to the John Soane museum, and lunch. Haven't chosen lunch spot yet.

I've been for my usual Saturday trot and catch up - we saw a heron at very close range along the canal this morning which was impressive, and the leaves are looking stunning.🍁
Dh is at work so I'm on the rugby run with ds2 today - it's an hour's drive away so that will be most of the afternoon. We might go to see some fireworks this evening if I can persuade Dh. Ds2 is at a party so it will just be us oldies, maybe with some friends.

Morning all.. l love these posts...absolutely horrible weather here.. throwing it down and very cold ( West Yorkshire) . I slept better than previous few nights because the pharmacy finally delivered my medication... they had it on the van 4 days... l couldn't even collect in person and one was my morphine patches.
I woke at 8am. Went down for my cuppa and ended up doing tiny chores.. but I've had two now.. l brought back to bed.
I've a few parcels to get ready to post ( Vinted)...and some trousers to take up l bought from vinted..so will be in my sewing room for a bit( spare little bedroom .. I've turned into a sewing room with big table and boxes/ shelves for haberdashery etc). Then I'm doing some hand sewing.. l bought some plain jumpers in New Look sale.. . Then saw some gorgeous embellishment jumpers in M&S so going to try and do something similar.
I have four deliveries coming today.
Soup maker for one of eldest daughters Christmas gifts.
Set of pans for part of youngest daughters Christmas gifts. ( their requests). Dressing gowns and slippers for all.
Plus some laura Gellar baked foundation for me.
I'm going to get comfy this afternoon and watch a movie.
Not thought about food yet .( Was my Mounjaro jab last night). Have a great day everyone whatever you are doing.

Morning all, currently sitting feeding newborn baby. DD, 3, has watched a lot of Paddington this morning and done colouring with her new pens. We've all had cinnamon swirls for breakfast. It was pouring when we woke up but the sun is coming out so we'll have a slow wander to the park shortly and then some family are popping over this afternoon to meet the new baby. Not sure what's for tea, but we got a delivery this morning so lots of choice. Possibly gammon with cauliflower cheese and veg... Whatever we decide, DH will be cooking! Then strictly while the baby cluster feeds and hopefully off to bed early if he settles.

Baby was up for the day at 5:30 so lots of coffee drunk and dog walked already. I’ve just got her down for a nap so breakfast time for me! Then I’ve got a piece of furniture to build, got to nip in to town, find and wrap a birthday present and then get ready and go out for a friend’s birthday dinner.

I’ve only been out a couple of times in the evening since the baby arrived so looking forward to it with a side of apprehension, even though I know she’s absolutely fine with her Dad!

Reasonably quiet here. DH has taken DD to riding, I’m staying home to mark maths tests. Boring. DS1 is staying with BIL for the weekend to help out with something and DS2 is holed up in his room gaming.

When DH and DD get home they are packing away Halloween, then packing her bag to go to a Scouts sleepover. Once she’s dropped off this evening, DH and I are watching a film with DS1 and his choice of takeaway because he hardly ever gets time with just the two of us. None of them do really! Might play some board games or card games too because he loves them.

I also ache everywhere so feel for you @lucysmam! Went to see a great covers band last night and danced until I couldn’t stand anymore. Also remember doing the lift from Dirty Dancing with my friend which probably wasn’t advisable, that could have gone badly wrong if she dropped me!
Having a chilled morning scrolling with coffee and pastries before I head out for a walk later.

Morning @lucysmam I was just watching some Inhalerween footage on Tik Tok. It looks great, glad you had a great time.

DH and I are off to a close friend’s wedding shortly. We’re staying at the venue so will be getting ready there. We’re going to have a maccies on the way as it’s a late afternoon ceremony so will be 5ish by the time we eat.

Looking forward to a lovely day with friends and having some fun. It’s a very chilled wedding with none of the mad demands we often read about on here!

DD is supposedly looking for her Fitbit in her room but realistically I know she is scrolling just like me!! Difficult for us both to get going this morning after first week of work and school after the half term.
I will need to motivate us both in a minute as DD really needs to start her cycling today for her DOE bronze and I think today is going to stay dry.
Tonight is Strictly probably with Spag Bol if online shop comes in time to make it otherwise it will be cobbling something together out of the freezer🙂.

I’m still in bed with my kindle. Was awake at 9am and just hearing the youngest teen emerge. For those up from 5am, both my dc used to be 5am risers for years and I thought it would never end. It does- I probably won’t see ds, 16 until past noon!

Going to get dressed and take dog for a walk (he also likes a lie in!). And then mooch around the house. DP is coming over later for a games night.
