If I were going to plan on deposing Donald Trump, that is exactly where I would (let him believe) expect it ti happen.

Reading this, it occurs to me that a lot of emails in the TrEpstein files about how the "girls" have been laughing over Trump's increasingly desperate attempts to have sex with them at all might just be what he is so keen to censor – not because his base would reject him over them, but because one thing he cannot bear is being laughed at, and he is strongly invested in his self-image as virile. And being laughed at for not being virile would be horrendous for him if it were made public.

Stormy Daniels seemed unimpressed by sex with him, so it's possible she was not the only one who felt that way.

Per Rep Jamie Raskin on Velshi this morning (MS NOW), the vote on Epstein Files will be up for a vote on Tuesday. My guess is there will be debate before the vote so who knows exactly when it will happen on Tuesday.

Bear in mind that it still has to be passed in the Senate and then signed by SCROTUS. So even if it does pass both houses, I doubt very much that he'll sign it.

If I heard correctly it doesn't need to go before the senate if it gets 2/3 majority.

And a lot of Republicans have been vague about their voting intentions.

Remember Trump can't stay there forever, unless he plans on not dying. So his successor will be very keen to make sure they don't miss their chance.

Once SCOTUS have castrated his big beautiful tariff scam, it could be open season. We all like a bit of turkey for thanksgiving ....

Wasn't something being said about it being made veto-proof if enough of Congress, or was it the Senate, or both, vote for it?

As MTG shows, there is a very real fear of voter backlash in some deep red states. I guess that's the downside of trying to play a bunch of guys with guns.

MTG seems to be working on the basis that what she is hearing from the people she needs to vote for her next time is exactly what she is doing now. I guess she has looked at her career and Trumps age and worked out which she wants to run for longest.

No, it does have to pass both Houses. The 2/3 majority rule is if SCROTUS vetos it, it goes back to Congress and a 2/3 vote in both Houses overrides his veto and passes the resolution.

If he does sign or if they override his veto the DOJ is the agency that will oversee the release. And as we know, SCROTUS has the director in his pocket and has 'stacked' the agency with loyalists. Who knows what delaying tactics or 'redacted for national security' will magically appear.

The vote and surrounding hoo-hah is keeping the pressure on him - which is 'enjoyable' in itself.

I see that SCROTUS is now referring to her as Marjorie 'traitor' Taylor Greene. I think he's mentally unable NOT give someone who's crossed him a disparaging nickname. It's the epitome of childishness.

He knows he isn't going to win the vote so now he is telling 'fake news' reporters that he wants the files to be released.

SCROTUS has done a volte-face on the Epstein files because they've either already been 'cleaned up' or the plan to stall the release is now in place.

What will be interesting to see is if, now that he's 'in favour' of it, he'll actually sign the resolution. Or is this all a ploy and he'll end up vetoing it.

he’s handling it so badly when normally he cuts through any amount of his own caused shite to come up smelling of orange roses that it’s been difficult to understand why it’s not working as well.
I (unfortunately) saw great support for him on X only yesterday, just acceptance Trump is not involved but all the Dem presidents have been. For his followers it would be cognitive dissonance at its finest but I don’t think many really consider the opposing facts’ or how it doesn’t add up, so no conflicting thoughts. Obviously Marjorie Greene and Broebart aren’t listening to him, but they’ve not the pull of Trump mania - hopefully enough will realise to affect his (baffling) hold on his cult followers.
