Sports bra/top, firm support for big boobs!

I’ve started running and I’ve tried a couple of crop tops and suchlike but they’re just not very supportive and my boobs are hurting. Any ideas?

TIA!

I went to Bravissimo and was fitted for one of their sports bras. Think mine was specifically for running. I had an old one that was too tight and the perfect fit makes such a difference.

CottonDeTulear · 24/10/2025 11:48

Thank you! I’ve looked at Bravissimo but so expensive 😮

I buy mine from the boobydoo website. My preference is the panache ultimate underwired sports bra

MissKittyFantastico84 · 24/10/2025 15:41

My experience of M&S is that they pretend to know what big boobs are, but have no clue.

I’ve found Freya Active to be the best sports bras. If you do have a bigger bust, you’re probably not going to get away without underwire, soz.

mrssquidink · 24/10/2025 16:23

I like the shock absorber ultimate run bra. Crop tops are useless in my view unless you’ve got tiny boobs.

whatwasthatnoise · 24/10/2025 18:49

Panache underwire sports bra for me. I was fitted by my local independent lingerie shop. You're looking at about £40 for a bra but I'd rather that than sore boobs. If you get fitted, then you can look online for slightly cheaper (last season colours) options.

devildeepbluesea · 24/10/2025 18:53

Enell bras are brilliant, but very expensive. I’ve found a couple on Vinted in the past though.
Failing that, I use a decent bra (Panache or Shock Absorber) - and I’ll often put a cropped top over it. Those girls go nowhere.

hellotoday27 · 24/10/2025 18:54

Bravissimo. My sports bra has lasted for years so might be expensive but built to last. You need something robust for big boobs

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 24/10/2025 20:23

Freya Active Dynamic
If you google you can often find old colours reduced somewhere.

Marks and Spencer ultimate support.

Second this

QueenRefusenik · 24/10/2025 20:39

Another vote for m&s zipped ones. Work well for my 32gs but you may have to size up a bit

Reachforthestars00 · 24/10/2025 22:55

My favourite ever was the Bravissimo Orbit, but they don't make it any more. Has anyone tried Tiger Eye that I see advertised online? Looks similar but very expensive.

I have a brilliant M&S one. But they don't seem to sell it anymore. It's my favourite sports bra and way better than any other. Take a look at what they have on offer.

FairyBatman · 24/10/2025 23:12

i can’t recommend Elomi energise enough, they aren’t cheap but is the best I’ve tried, better than shock absorber or M&S ultimate.

The M&S ultimate is my second favourite but I see they have changed the design since I last bought one.

mummybearsurrey · 25/10/2025 00:29

Here is the list I keep, based on forums like this and my big busted mates who run or gym
personally I love the prima Donna
https://www.belle-lingerie.co.uk/prima-donna-sport-the-game-wired-sports-bra-black

Sports bras
Prima Donna wired sports bra
Freya epic
Panache endurance underwired
Shock absorber ultimate run
Anita
Enell - lots of hooks and eyes, mono boob but great support
Berlei running / riding bra

dementedpixie · 25/10/2025 09:20

@mummybearsurrey does that mean you need to size up as Primadonna doesn't seem to have double letter sizes? (I wear 36GG)

CottonDeTulear · 30/10/2025 22:02

Hey thanks all!

Another vote for shock absorber.

And from me. Rock solid, but very comfortable.

Nonameagain31 · 30/10/2025 22:11

Another vote for shock absorber. I also like Nike alpha skins but these were better when I was thinner / had slightly smaller boobs.
