Oh no, wasn't expecting that, she was so fabulous.

hby9628 · 11/10/2025 20:06

This is so sad. She was great. I would never have thought she was 79 to be honest.

nopiesleftinthisvehicle · 11/10/2025 20:08

Oh no, that's sad. 🖤
I had no idea she was 79 though.
She always came across so sparky and vibrant in interviews.

BatchCookBabe · 11/10/2025 20:09

I love her too. She was amazing in everything she did. I love her in The Family Stone, Marvin's Room, First Wives Club, and so much more....... So much amazing work.

Gorgeous lady.❤

I know right. I'd have put her at 60!! Even so, she has been in films since around 1970, and she was a young woman then. Smile

That such sad news, she was a superb actress.

I met Diane once, about 15 years ago in Arizona. She was off duty & visiting a big attraction with her family. We were in the same tour group, she was unassuming friendly & charming. A lovely lady. My condolences to her family.

Oh, that is sad news. I loved her in Baby Boom and Father of the Bride. I would never have thought she was 79.

Aww one of my absolute favourite actresses.
She is in so many of my favourite movies.

Oh dear, that had really taken me by such surprise! She always seemed so young and full of life. My mum is a couple of years younger than her and also has that fit, healthy and independent thing going on and makes you think they have donkeys years ahead. So it’s got to me a bit thinking that may not be the case!

MaidOfSteel · 11/10/2025 20:29

Oh no. That’s very sad news.

Middlemarch123 · 11/10/2025 20:31

Oh no, one of my favourite actresses and one of my favourite authors in the same week, bless them both. Such a sad time for their loved ones.

GroovyChick87 · 11/10/2025 20:32

I'm gutted. I always had a bit of a crush on her.

EachandEveryone · 11/10/2025 20:34

Gosh, this is such sad news and I don’t think her children are that old. It was just her and them. She was so vibrant and there are too many films to name. She will always be Annie Hall to me though. I watch it still. She was so fab. And Kay ☹️☹️

weegielass · 11/10/2025 20:35

I liked her in baby boom, father of the bride, first wives club, and something's gotta give. Lots of good films. I didn't know she was sick, if she was.

Not2identifying · 11/10/2025 20:39

She was so charismatic on screen. I'm sad to hear of her death. I must be getting older because 79, while not young, still seems a bit early.

Yes, her children are only in their 20s. Diane adopted them in her early to mid 50s. At least they got to spend quite a few years with their lovely mum. Smile

I had the same thought. It is sad.

I know right. It's like my DC, they don't think of me as being old - I mean I'm not old, (mid 50s) but they think of me and their dad as still in our 30s. I don't even think 60-65 is that old now. Feels like it's younger now than it was 40 years ago. People seemed older at 60-65 then, now they don't. Hard to explain. Maybe it's because I'm edging closer to it. 😆 My DC do say they don't class 60 as old at all though!
