Which London show to see?

We are a family of 4, including 2 teens. Which show show should we go and see?

  1. Come Alive
  2. Starlight Express
  3. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

We all liked The Greatest Showman film and 3 out of the 4 of us really like Harry Potter.

Anyone seen these and have an opinion? Thanks

what about Stranger Things?
took DD 14 over the summer and she loved it…

Not heard of it as a show, will have a look. Still undecided!

Operation Mincemeat

This! The best show in the London!

I’m taking my two teens to see Hungrr Games in December
can’t wait!

Frightenedbunny · 23/09/2025 19:01

Hamilton… amazing!! I’ve seen it 4 times. My 16 and 11 year old loved it too.

Wicked. Very cleverly scripted and worth a watch!

we have also booked tickets for hunger games. I’m so excited for this too!

I forgot about Hamilton. I started to watch it on Disney but couldn't really get into it, so not sure

I watched Hamilton on Disney first also and couldn’t really get into it, but it is soooo much better live! One of the best shows I’ve seen. It helped me watching on Disney with subs first because there is so much going on lyrically.
From your list—Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Starlight Express was not for me and I saw it when I was a teen, haven’t seen Come Alive)

Hamilton. Soooo good.

Or Operation Mincemeat.

Chewbecca · 23/09/2025 19:26

Oh Operation Mincemeat is great and perfect for a family outing.

SherlockJones · 29/09/2025 12:54

We saw Harry Potter in the end and it was great!

Starlight gets my vote. It’s immersive like nothing else. Sit in Platform 1 or 2 next to the central aisle.

Full musical version of Greatest Showman is coming - I’d wait until it does rather than seeing Come Alive.

Definitely agree with Operation Mincemeat. It's fantastic and in such a lovely small theatre. It's such a bonkers story, but 100% true!

SheherazadesSpringNonsense · 29/09/2025 18:11

The new starlight express is just not as good as the old one and I agree that it doesn’t really compete with some of the modern musicals. We enjoyed it but we weren’t wowed by it

I took my dd for her 18th. I had tried watching it on Disney plus but given up after 20 minutes. I unexpectedly really enjoyed it.

Hadestown was amazing
