What can't you turn off?

I have to watch every single rug cleaning video that appears on my timeline. I can't help it.

I just can't turn it off or keep scrolling. I find them so satisfying. The rugs are filthy (and how do they get so filthy?) and after lots of high powered jet washing and cleaning foam, they're back to how they should be.

If they're on my steam, I have to watch right until the end before I can move on.

What type of clip is your crack?

Beaver dam removal - so very mesmerising I have to watch them to the end.

also unblocking culverts and drains. Most satisfying when the flooding clears quickly.

ImAPreMadonna · 13/09/2025 10:43

Plane take offs and landings from the POV of the pilots.

1980s AI nostalgia of streets and houses

’You’ve not slept for 10 years - which bedroom are you choosing?’ that show AI fantasy bedrooms.

Pool cleans

Sunday ‘resets’.

I’m can’t STAND people clacking their nails. Drives me insane! 😱🙀😱🙀😱🙀

Me too, it actually makes me feel physically sick. Apparently I have misophonia, when I read up about it, it all made perfect sense, lol

SomethingFun · 13/09/2025 10:47

Cupcake decorating - I am waiting to see if there is any I think I could actually do.

I used to like American fridge restocks etc but I got sick of the mindless consumerism and the ridiculous amounts of processed food, packaging, excess cleaning and beauty products being swilled down the drain and so on.

YetanotherNC25 · 13/09/2025 10:52

I progressed from rug cleaning videos to dog grooming, garden clearances and very satisfying large drain unblocking videos (must be large for the gush!). I have no idea what that says about my psychological health, but they make me happy! 😂

chatw0o0p · 13/09/2025 10:56

I find the 'restock my mini fridge' type things, fascinating and annoying at the same time... the same with Sunday reset, clean my house/airBnB with me, etc.

anything with parrots imitating electronic sounds.
stray animals being rescued.
furniture restoration...
time lapse of things growing (seeds etc)

this makes me think I need to get a hobby!

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 13/09/2025 11:02

Garden clearances, especially when they find a driveway or pavement or some other unexpected thing. Or grass, I like the Australian guy.

Cow’s hooves, the Scottish guy.

Donkeys overgrown hooves.

Cleaning videos, but the house has got to be really bad to begin with.

I like to think I’m a fairly normal person but having written out the above ⬆️ I’m thinking it looks slightly weird.

coravantexel · 13/09/2025 11:07

Beauty pie adverts. I wish I bloody could! They follow me around the internet like a stalker.

DNAexpert · 13/09/2025 11:08

The sheepdog herding sheep ones. I know nothing about farming and live in a town but I LOVE these ones. Sean the sheepman, I think it is, on Facebook. His dogs are so well trained and so clever, and then I go into a cafe in town which is full of yapping dogs and owners who don’t stop them, and I wonder why people can’t train their terriers to be like these sheepdogs Wink

What is a clicky nail video? Or is it best I don't know, as I'll get addicted to those too?

It's girls in their 20s with incredible skin and eyebrows who cleanse their face and have 'everything showers'.

I am so envious of the generation that never plucked their eyebrows into a thin line! And they have no stress and are thin. And no short hairs around their hairline. And they know about nutrition and fitness in a way I only do now at 47!

Oh yes - drain unblocking oooh. You seen the ones where thyme use a tractor pulling a tire through a drain? The best

im ashamed to say my current hook is witless entitled Americans getting arrested, usually for being drunk, and being forcibly removed from their cars while yelling “I haven’t done anything wrong I know my rights”. Super addictive

Qashgal · 13/09/2025 11:33

I watch a couple of garden clearing pages. 1 English - Flawless cleaning and the other American Midlife Stockman . Both are great at what they do so the end product is very satisfying
I also watch Remi Clog tidy her house as she gamely tries to bring order to the chaos created by 2 small boys. She chats away and it's almost like sitting at a friend's kitchen table watching as she tackles something she doesn't want help with.
I find Post10s culvert and drain clearing videos very soothing. His voice/ accent as he explains what's happening along with often lovely scenery in the background is pitched just right.

I have definitely got a cleansing itch that needs scratching 😂

Globules · 13/09/2025 12:01

I kinda wish I'd never started this thread.

There's so many things on here that I now want to watch 😳

But …but…who thinks to film this rubbish??!! That’s what I always think. I know the answer now is people can make money from anything but I’m still perplexed as to who has the thought in the first place!

Agreed.

The rug cleaning ones particularly. The room they clean them in is so sterile. Who thought "people will want to watch me clean a carpet"?!

There is a little Chinese girl eating her lunch. I don’t know how the IG algorithm put these videos in my feed but I am mesmerised by them.
She has four or five different elements to her lunch and eats everything!

I absolutely love those videos. She eats so much and I’m jealous that my kids would never have even tried any of it 😆

AlexandraPeppernose · 14/09/2025 12:21

Bruce the Aussie Drain Cleaner. Mesmerising. I also enjoy a US vent clean

WonsWoo · 14/09/2025 12:24

The man who cleans road signs. So satisfying!

CoubousAndTourmaIet · 14/09/2025 12:52

Anything connected with Livestock Guarding Dog breeds.

The bakery videos....
I sit there drooling 😂

I saw one with a camera inside an oven so you saw everything rising

Beautifully cinematic and mesmerising

Other than that, baby orangutans and people living on remote islands

There’s an Asian woman and her Mum who makes elaborate meals for their German Shepherd dog and then film him eating them. I’ve watched all of them repeatedly.
Also carpet cleaning, dog grooming and cats being crazy. They are indeed like crack.

Soup Baby! I love him.

Yes! Australian Drain Cleaning is the YouTube channel. Brilliant.

Pulling dried-up leaves off succulent plants.

Icebergs calving from glaciers.

Twits people attempting to remove huge quantities of snow from their house roof.

Volcanoes erupting.

Cats being cats.

LayerCakeOfStrangers · 14/09/2025 14:57

Dashcam videos.

Hours and hours on an evening watching other people’s minor near misses via their dashcam footage. So addictive! I have one and nothing EVER happens, I live for the day I can send my dashcam video away to Bad Drivers UK Facebook page but it’s not happening round these parts 🤣

However now and again you get a gem like this and it’s all worth it.
