I found this on Temu just now. I wanted a few opinions before ordering. Is this good to wear for an admin job interview?

Doesn't give me interview vibes.

summerlovingvibes · 07/09/2025 09:10

What is the interview for?

SoozyWoozy5 · 07/09/2025 09:10

Definitely not!

Not unless it's an interview at Miss Cackle's academy

DappledThings · 07/09/2025 09:11

It looks like you're going to a funeral on a beach.

InMyOpenOnion · 07/09/2025 09:12

It doesn't really give off organised, office vibes. I suppose if it's a more creative business maybe at a push, but I would choose something else.

OhDorWheresthesalad · 07/09/2025 09:12

I've interviewed people who were wearing some very strange things, so you could probably get away with it but it's definitely not a typical interview outfit. I'm not sure what you'd wear that for.

travailtotravel · 07/09/2025 09:12

No..its cheap for a reason.

Jaws2025 · 07/09/2025 09:12

Sadly no. The sleeves are not businesslike

mamagogo1 · 07/09/2025 09:13

Unless it’s a fashion company, no. If you need to dress up for an interview (some jobs don’t require it these days) you are better off opting for traditional and conservative clothing because you don’t know who is interviewing you, it’s gives me nightdress vibes! Plain fitted dress and light fitted or semi fitted jacket you can’t go wrong with, if in a more casual company a jersey fitted dress and cardigan may be ok but not for more traditional workplaces

cramptramp · 07/09/2025 09:13

No. Of course not.

Bringmeahigherlove · 07/09/2025 09:15

Only if the interview is for the cast of the Adam’s Family.

Arlanymor · 07/09/2025 09:16

Is the job as an assistant to a genie? If not then you’d be better off with a top and a skirt or trousers. Unless it’s a creative industries job in which case anything goes!

Asabat · 07/09/2025 09:17

Coming from Temu you are at risk y it doesn't look like that at all, is made of terrible cheap material, smells funny and doesn't fit.

As for suitability it's not great if you are looking for a formal, traditional office look, but more than that it is a bit too relaxed.

janehopper · 07/09/2025 09:19

God, no.

Ivehadenough123 · 07/09/2025 09:30

Not appropriate. Depending on the sector/business I’d either go formal (smart trousers, blouse/jumper, jacket, smart shoes) or smart casual (s/c trousers, top/jumper, clean fashion trainers/shoes).

I’ve previously worked in creative industries and can confirm that I’ve never seen someone come to an interview dressed like that!

No I haven’t either to be fair. Although when I worked in live music TV we did have someone interview in lederhosen. They were not German!

AreolaGrande · 07/09/2025 09:48

Is the job doing admin for a coven?

If not then the answer is no.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 07/09/2025 09:50

No it's horrid.

The material is bound to me cheap and give you electric shocks and temu are a terrible
Company so I wouldn't give them my money.

Picturing Clem Fandango (Toast of London).

Not unless you’re going for a job as a witch! 🧙‍♀️

Oh yes! That’s exactly it! Albeit back in 2008/9 because I am ancient!

”I CAN HEAR YOU CLEM FANDANGO!”

Fayaway · 07/09/2025 09:54

Yes! As long as the interview date has definitely been confirmed as October 31st.

viques · 07/09/2025 09:58

Reminds me of the scene from one of the Addams family films, the one where they end up on hard times and Morticia goes for an interview at an employment agency, she ends up in a school reading to a group of terrified children!
