Is this black dress something I can wear to an interview?

I found this on Temu just now. I wanted a few opinions before ordering. Is this good to wear for an admin job interview?

Only if the interview is for the cast of the Adam’s Family.

Yes, my immediate thought was 'Morticia'.

And the kaftan style suggests to me something like a housecoat, for lounging at home.

I think it's always best to play it safe at interviews - smart trousers, blouse or top and blazer. Add a chunky necklace or coloured scarf for extra colour and interest.

Yeh I agree with everyone else @Waterdrinker not appropriate and in fact not very nice.

I usually play it pretty safe – tailored black trousers, a smart top (not a T shirt tho not necessarily a blouse) and a plain black jacket. Ballet flats or loafers.

If it’s a very traditional workplace then a suit (tho I don’t own one!). I work in a creative industry and most people come to the office in jeans, T shirt and trainers, but even for an interview there, I turned up in the trousers/top combo.

It's a perfectly nice abaya. But unless you have a particular reason for wearing an abaya (which really does not include 'I like to look a bit Bohemian'), it's probably not going to come across well at interview.

You know, deep down it’s not suitable, otherwise you wouldn’t need to ask. If you go with it, even if the interviewers don’t take it into account when choosing their preferred candidate, you’ll feel uncomfortable and not perform at your best.
