I'm stuck in a traffic jam on the M5, DH is driving, DD needs a wee, DDog is asleep.

Did you go to Pig and Olive for a pizza dog?
That was DS's favourite thing about our holiday near there last year. I abstained and took the dog on what turned out to be his last ever beach run while exH and DS partook of this culinary delight.
Hope you're past the "high / low" bit now, and the RAC hat.

Are you looking forward to doing all that washing when you're home?

To be honest, laundry is DH's job. I fold and put it away so it works well.

What’s the weather like?

Awful 😖 raining and grey you've got to love British Summers

oh my love - you've just got to hope for the best, he won't starve. Presumably he can use a kettle, a toaster and the Internet?

Deliveroo, pot noodles and toast is fairly standard for the youth of today.

He can cook a three course meal of reasonable fanciness if he so chooses. However, will he choose too? Hmm I think not. I suspect it’ll be instant noodles.. scurvy here we come…

A what now??

That sounds fabulous! I'll put it on the list for next time.

On the M4 now. I have offered to share the driving several times but DH is quite happy.

We honestly loved it ❤️ It was exactly what we needed, sea, sun and relaxation (plus I won at Crazy Golf)

50 miles from home - McDonald's for tea. I was glared at when I suggested that perhaps we could just go straight home.

I decided not to die on that particular hill.

I'll never understand the fuss over McDonald's. I just always come away feeling hungry and is stupidly overpriced at service stations. Glad you are nearly home.

I've never understood the appeal either, I just don't like it, but its shut DD and DH up 😊
