I’ve been messaging a guy for about two weeks now on WhatsApp, he asked to swap numbers I agreed, but I’ve noticed his messaging is very sporadic, and he hasn’t asked to meet up, which I find unusual as most of them want to meet up straight away, take last night we were messaging back and forth and today nothing, I know I could message him and it’s bank holiday so he may have been out all day, but something is telling me somethings not right, not sure whether to ask him if he would like to meet up? See what his response is.

Regardless of whether he’s with someone else or not really interested, if you’ve got concerns before you’ve met it doesn’t sound like it’s going to go anywhere. Not sure why he needs to be the one to ask you to meet up but again, it sounds like a lack of compatibility.

If you want to meet up then ask him.
There’s nothing stopping you texting say ‘Hi. How’s your bank holiday?’

When I was online dating I didn’t like to meet up for a few weeks as I’d rather chat a bit first to see if it was worth my time so I don’t feel like that’s a bad thing.

He probably is with someone if he hasn't suggested meeting up and if he takes ages to reply. A friend of mine always suggested a phone call later in the evening - the number of men who refused that was quite interesting.

Ask if for a meet up if he’s vague or flakey stop the messaging.

Yes I think I’m going to ask him to meet up I mean I’m not looking for a pen pal.

He doesn’t have too, but I’m used to the men asking me out for a date I guess.

There are men (and women) who use these apps for an ego boost and don’t want to meet up. Or he could be in a relationship. If he isn’t asking to meet up, then I’d just move on.

He’s messaged tonight saying he made something out of a pallet today because he was bored, I’m thinking well we could have met up and why didn’t he ask me if he had nothing much planned today 🤷‍♀️

if you want to meet up & check out his living arrangements, ask if you can pop around after work tomorrow for a coffee & see the planter in person.

It doesn’t mean a) he made it today. B) he made it alone. Maybe his wife helped? Or he surprised her with it?

I would suggest a call with any online potentials early evening and then a meet up off the back of it. I couldn’t be bothered wasting time with a back and forth chat with a man who may be married.

The amount of losers who are not single on these websites is crazy. Enough to put you off dating 😂

I wouldn’t even bother tbh, I couldn’t be doing with all the messaging. He either fancies you and wants to meet up or doesn’t and I assume you don’t have some wooden carpenters planter table building fetish.

I think it's far too early to continue with something you already have doubts about.

Did he say he has young children? Because that blue thing in the right of the picture is the base of a kids swing ball toy. That doesn't mean he's not single, and there could be other explanations as to why he has kids toys, but if he's not mentioned them I'd be suspicious.
