Mounjaro price hike

I'm with Medexpress and on the 10mg dosage of Mounjaro. Will be buying my final Mounjaro on Friday before the price hike.

Wegovy is £99 on Mumsnet but this is how they reel you in with the prices as I don't expect the 10mg will be £99. Anyone know price of Wegovy at 10mg dosage please?

Anyone else swapped to Wegovy?

I don’t think the wegovy price will go up, if anything it will drop so they can take market share from el Lilly before the generics come in next year and position people to stay on it. They will clean up, I also think el Lilly will manage pricing to try to stem the losses, it’s still early, and I think pricing will move a lot in the next 6 to 9 months. Wegovy will only go up if people stick with mj. As why not. But if they see a shift they will go for it and take as much as possible. They already halved the price in the USA for non insurance payers.

There is a board for weight loss injectables. The pharamacy who sells Mounjaro have bowed from pressure from Trump to make the prices of it in the UK to be inline with the cost in US. I’m guessing he wanted it be cheaper for American rather than just make it the same across the world.

There are lots of theories as to why it was sold cheaper in the UK in the first place. I believe the UK was a test market to see how well it sells and to drum up international interest.

Have you not seen any news stories about it?

This website shows prices for different Wegovy suppliers- https://igovy.co.uk/wegovy-price-comparison-uk/

They come in different measurements than MJ though, and I'm ot sure if you can just swap one for the other or whether pharmacies would make you start from scratch.

You'll get better advice on the WLI board rather than just posting in Chat.

I've not read the stories, just heard the headlines.

Wow there's huge variation on those prices. Thank you so much for your help.

Juniper seem to have a very good deal for people switching to Wegovy. I was just about to start on mounjaro, so I think I'll probably give it a go on the lower doses to see how I respond and then see how financially viable it will be as I work my way up.

There was some useful stuff on the Voy website about transferring from Mounjaro to Wegovy.

I'm switching to ozempic ridiculous prices

Crunchymum · 23/08/2025 11:23

Google didn't actually answer this for me. But hey ho.

You must have a lot of time on your hands to go back through my previous posts for a "gotcha" post?

Well I'm honoured. Never had someone search my previous posts before.

So what's the general concensus on wegovy and ozempic? Im currently still on a fairly low dose of mj, but considering changing to one of the others? Any advice would be much appreciated? Many thanks
