I have made the decision to leave mumsnet. I won't explain why . But i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has shown me so much support over the years and believed in me. Lots of you have been fantastic and really helped me . This is not a negative thread its a thank you and goodbye thread..

Aww I'm just seeing this now. Im not sure if you'll see this, I have always enjoyed your threads, I missed a few due to you name changing but those I read/replied to I really enjoyed.

I don't know your history in depth and I just go on what I do know and whatever the thread is you posted. I believe that you have had a very difficult life and you were trying your hardest to make things better.

I did notice that a handful of posters would gang up on you and take enjoyment posting your difficulties and all information about your personal life and being quite negative towards you. I did really feel for you because another forum I use to use had about 10 people behave disgusting towards me, it was relentless and I was going through a really hard time having just had my disabled daughter and I had no close friends and I really needed somewhere to talk, I actually ended up feeling suicidal and tbh I don't think I've ever forgotten the awful, nasty things they said to me. It was the right thing for me to leave and block that site, it was hard as I was addicted to logging in every morning, I understand that you probably feel the same that by leaving you are removing the vile people from your head, it's sad because there's a lot of good posters on your threads but I understand it's difficult to filter the bad ones out.

Anyway, sorry I know you don't like long threads but just to say I really enjoyed your threads, I even followed your every movement on your holiday and loved hearing when you faced challenges and how you overcame them. Loved your house threads and just really sorry to see you go.

Yes. I have already acknowledged that I probably got that wrong due to being very literal as a function of my autism and reading it the wrong way.

She started one under another username about why she can't concentrate on tasks.

It got really odd, OP disappeared then another poster then started swearing at people, asking questions about the OP but then apparently knowing stuff they'd just asked about. They were accused by another poster of being a sockpuppet and then the thread went.

I think you’re doing the right thing @Shithole101 I’d de register from other toxic places too. People pretending to be sympathetic but sharing private messages to gossip about ☹️

There was definitely sock puppeting happening. All very odd. She’ll be back, probably already is.

No one cares, people leave and join all the time, why broadcast it, you won't even be here to see the responses, or will you?

OP has chosen to put her entire life online often posting multiple threads a day including medical records of her children. Repeatedly told it was a silly idea. Ignored any criticism. Has clearly heavily manipulated responses to threads by massively augmenting the truth, flounced, name changed, sock puppeted, threatened suicide etc etc. OPs relationship with forums is toxic, not the forums themselves.

Attention seeking & all the dont go posts 🙄

I can’t give you more details about the private messages for obvious reasons, but they are not previously publicly shared information.

I don’t disagree entirely about the toxicity, and either way @shitholeis better off out of those environments. She’s clearly vulnerable if she’s sharing her contact details (as on this thread) with strangers.

I have a sympathy for her and wish SH and family all the best for the future. I hope, rather than believe, she’ll leave these online communities and access alternative help.

Totally agree. I can't believe MN left that email address up for so long.
