Are you disappointed if it turns out to be-

a. The actor
or
b. The scientist

taxidriver · 05/08/2025 05:48

the scientist - good question

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 05/08/2025 05:50

B. I love A.

Jorgua · 05/08/2025 06:04

The scientist, he has an annoying smug face.

verityveritas · 05/08/2025 06:21

Neither. I like both.

ThatAgileCoralBird · 05/08/2025 06:22

So disappointed if its A
smug, righteous and feels the need to let us know his opinions.
he just plays pretend.

I think the scientist is brilliant.

Jorgua · 05/08/2025 06:04

The scientist, he has an annoying smug face.

Agree 😄

ClassicStripe · 05/08/2025 06:28

the scientist until I watched succession. Now the actor.

Kittybelle123 · 05/08/2025 06:31

@ThatAgileCoralBird
I couldn’t agree more 😊 The scientist is incredible.

QuaverQuanta · 05/08/2025 06:36

I would expect B to be referred to as Prof BC, but I'd be more interested in listening to what he had to say than the actor. So I'd be pleasantly surprised if it said BC and it wasn't the actor.

Prof BC does remind me a bit of James Blunt though for some reason and I'm not sure why!

Tutorpuzzle · 05/08/2025 06:40

I make sure it’s the scientist if I need a nap. His voice has a weirdly soporific effect on me. I must have watched the first five minutes of one of his planet programmes a hundred times…

birdling · 05/08/2025 06:51

The voting is a little confusing, I think a few people may have misunderstood.

I would be disappointed if it was the actor as the scientist is one of the few people who can explain massive concepts, such as space and time, so that I can understand it. I even have a slight crush on him, which is very unlike me 😂.

Butterybaps · 05/08/2025 06:56

I would have been very disappointed if B had walked out on stage last night that is for sure, as A, along with the rest of the fabulously talented cast, delivered an absolutely knockout performance. Best play I've seen in ages.

MCF86 · 05/08/2025 06:58

i had to google the actor, and still don't know who he is. So him, I guess 😂

ExcellentDecluttering · 05/08/2025 07:23

The actor because I've never seen him in anything and all I know about him is that he has the same name as the scientist.

TheyreLikeUsButRichAndThin · 05/08/2025 07:26

Backtothebestbits · 05/08/2025 06:22

Agree 😄

DH cannot stand him either! I don’t mind either way but he is definitely very smug!

Have never heard of the actor!

PickAChew · 05/08/2025 07:29

I enjoy both in different ways.

TaborlinTheGreat · 05/08/2025 07:31

Neither- I don't have particularly strong feelings about either of them!

nellietheellie75 · 05/08/2025 07:35

The actor. I think Professor Brian Cox is fab.

TubeScreamer · 05/08/2025 07:40

Scientist

i find him insufferably smug and can’t watch him

I avoid anything with BC the scientist. His smile really upsets me. And his voice. I can't bear him.

LadyAsnowt · 05/08/2025 07:53

The actor. Love the scientist.

MushMonster · 05/08/2025 08:01

Oh, who is Brian Cox the actor? Never heard of him, give a damn about him, could not care less.
I love Brian Cox the scientist!

BitOutOfPractice · 05/08/2025 08:02

The scientist.

OhDorWheresthesalad · 05/08/2025 08:05

I would watch/listen to neither. But the very first thought that went through my mind was, "Isn't Brian Cox Daddy Warbucks with hair?"
