He really is a PoS I wish he’d get eaten by his own bile such a vile excuse of a human being, really should be severely reprimanded for agitating & stirring such reprehensible conduct.
im probably misremembering did Labour have a very personable local candidate if they did bloody sure he would have been a much better representative.

Meanwhile St. Kemi "own goal" Badenoch has told us how she reported someone for breaking the rules in school and got them expelled.

Presumably she wasn't aware of Johnson and Co breaking the actual law during lockdown. Meaning she may be principled. But intensely thick. Unless she wants to tell us they she was aware but didn't report.

Either way, I've had less thick mince for dinner.

dontcallmelen · 08/08/2025 17:30

Wonder if she reported herself when she hacked Harriet Harmans computer.

SerendipityJane · 08/08/2025 17:55

It seems Lowe is trying the "if you criticise me, you are as bad as them line".

meanwhile real people think he's a bellend.

And top marks to the "AI" bot that created that image. It would be fascinating to see how it applied it's knowledge base to come up with that image when the word "pedalo" was in the text. Reform may want to ask OpenAI what data it holds on their activities.

I’d completely forgot about that.

At least Lowe opened the door for many memes is the best can be said, and hopefully at least one or 2 people will realise how ridiculous this is getting - but apart from the obvious horribleness of him, you’d think he’d educate himself on where his constituency is, including how far from the next nearest country it is and other general facts about it - I guess on a personal note he has reminded me to keep Yarmouth off any trips out list - though not because of dinghies!

SerendipityJane · 09/08/2025 09:38

If all of these "concerned citizens" (or Rupert Lowe) spent the same amount of time picking litter and cleaning graffiti as they do being cunts then their neighbourhoods would be a damn sight nicer.

Lowe - cuntmeister general - said

"We received a huge number of urgent complaints from constituents"

What he didn't mention was that all of the were saying "Why the fuck are you poncing around on the beach, when I asked you to sort out my complaint."

My phone keeps pushing this at me.

Politics Home | Reform UK Send Candidates For Psychiatric Testing To "Avoid Another Rupert Lowe" https://share.google/2hqJj4v7ryev3gKxI

For May 2026, the party will need to find more than 3,000 candidates, with 1,800 council seats up for election in London alone

The potential for nasty fuckwits to slip through the net is massive.

cardibach · 09/08/2025 10:04

Especially since ‘nasty fuckwit’ is a necessary condition for wanting to be a Reform Councillor…

SerendipityJane · 09/08/2025 10:05

Reading about Vance and Lammy

Vance acknowledged the two men come from "different political spectrums" but said Lammy had been "kind enough to make time on a visit to [Washington] DC, we got to know each other a little bit then".

More alert posters will recall that in the literal hours after the election result, Lammy was on a massive tour of the EU and then the world. It may prove to be a silent unseen boon to future relationships.

It’s fascinating to me how much the Conservatives wanted/needed something more expensive and performative. Braverman dreaming of standing on the tarmac as the planes took off. Now they sit in boats pointing.

Braverman just needs to shut the fuck up IMO.

I have to follow the shit she says because she’s my MP and I need to know what local plans are.

But her and her xenephobic mouth need silencing.

There was a thread about travellers which MN has deleted because

This thread breaks our guidelines as it negatively generalises about a race of people, and so we've removed it.

Which I completely support, because some of the posts were odiously racist.

But it is at odds with the many vile threads and posts about asylum seekers which are allowed to stand. Especially the obsessive ones about Afghan men.

Funny place, Mumsnet.

Aren't asylum seekers and refugees travellers ? I mean what's that big blue thing they travelled across ?

DuncinToffee · 09/08/2025 12:07

Perdy celebrated by doing some volunteering at the Dogs’ Home. There is a little Patterdale that needed to be cat tested before adoption could go through, so off we went to help out. Perdy was put into a crate and the dog brought in on a lead. They had a sniff of each other. Neither could have been less interested really, so a)the adoption can happen when the Patterdale’s new family come for her and b) Perdy has a new role as Dogs’ Home cat.
She’s all heart and likes to give back to the less fortunate who weren’t born cats… This is her relaxing afterwards.

I'm glad a thread about travellers was deleted. It's often the last bastion of 'acceptable' prejudice . I've reported posts before and nothing much has happened.

Piggywaspushed · 09/08/2025 12:46

The asylum seekers trends are objectively fascinating. A month ago they were all rapacious Albanians, now Afghans. Where next? Austria?
