Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. Dd1's fed the cats and they've followed her back upstairs - she's getting ready for work, they're bounding about like elephants. Dd2's not up yet so it'll be nice and quiet when dd1 leaves and the cats calm down.

We haven't got anything much planned for today - there's the usual washing and washing up, and I've been slowly working my way round the kitchen deep cleaning and decluttering this week so I'll do a bit more of that.

Dd2 wants to have a baking day one day this week so the only plan we actually have is to find her recipes, check ingredients, and write a shopping list for anything we're missing. I don't think we're shopping for it today though - we'll see!

At some point I'll spend some time finishing the purple Minion and Viking peg dolls I've been painting this week - I think I need to slightly alter the dress of the Viking lady though 🤔, then I'll start varnishing dolls that are finished - maybe tomorrow.

No idea what's for tea yet...I'll look with dd2 later on.

This evening, I'll have an hour with my book & maybe list a couple of things on Vinted, before an early ish night (always an early night unless we're out!).

Hi Lucysmam! Baking day sounds good. Kid's have football training but dh takes/ coaches so that's a nice quiet morning for me. He's making me tea in bed. Nice treat.

I've no major plans - maybe job hunting but I'm not sure should I do one more year in my current job (teacher). Have been promised things will be better. I'm going to start Jury Duty on Netflix at some stage today and go to aldi.

I was woken early by DDog. So he’s fed as are DCats.

Made a light breakfast for DH DS and myself. DS has a club soon. Thinking of doing a cooked lunch today. We have a party this afternoon so want to line our stomach.

DD is still asleep. Two more weeks of the Scottish holidays and no idea how she will manage to get up again.

Party today so back for tea later. Might be a takeaway. Will see where that day takes us!

Lazy day planned after late night at Edinburgh Fringe Festival watching DS in his show.
Might head up the coast for a swim later.

Good morning all, our sons spent the week with his granny, he’s coming home today so I’m very excited about that. He’ll be tired so we’re going to have a fairly quiet day today, we’ve got swimming and physio with his little sister this morning. I need to finish replacing the grout in the downstairs bathroom today, I’ve done about 2/3, its a fairly big room and the entire room is tiled, so its the cleaning the grout off that takes bloody ages.

I'm off to the airport soon after dropping the dogs at the boarders. We're going to Belfast and I'm terrified after developing a severe phobia of flying 7 years ago. DC and DW have been going away without me for years so today's the day I face it. Lets just hope all the therapy I've had works!

Staying at the Titanic hotel and very excited about that.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone. We have been away in North Cornwall for a couple of days, going home today. It has been a lovely break but has really brought home to me just how little I am able to do at the moment. I have 3 weeks of my horrible medication to finish, then I'm hoping I will start to feel a little more 'normal' and can concentrate on losing weight and getting more exercise.

It will only take us about an hour and a half to get home, but we will stop for lunch on the way. We were going to stop at my favourite 'pie cafe' just outside Okehampton, but we went there on the way and they must be under new ownership. Previously, they did the most delicious steak and kidney pie (hence us calling it the 'pie cafe') which was cooked with the tasty meat and gravy under a really good shortcrust pastry - all cooked together just the way it should be. Now, the 'pie' is a steak and kidney casserole (with too much pepper) served with a puff pastry lid cooked separately and plonked on top. So disappointing! So the 'pie cafe' is no more. We are going to take a different route home and stop somewhere else.

Then we have our supermarket delivery due later this afternoon, so apart from dealing with that, and probably putting a wash on, we don't have anything else planned for today.

I had a reformer Pilates class first thing and we were supposed to be going out to the coast for brunch when I got back but dh’s ankle is bothering him so he needs a day to rest it. I’m showered and ready to go now and ds is up and about so I think I’ll take him somewhere for breakfast and a walk.
im all caught up with the washing (mostly! Basket will probably be half full again by the end of the day 😂) and the house is clean and tidy so not much required here.
I’m out for dinner with some friends tonight which I’m looking forward to.
So probably quite a chilled out day in the end for us today.

I've got a kiln load on, so will be babysitting that for the day til it switches off, then out to see a friend re a pottery stall we are doing next weekend.

In between all that, a different friend came round yesterday to request 6 cat bowls for their breakfasts so I'll be making about 12 so she can choose which she likes best shape and colour wise.

So pottery here all day really. Plus some rice and beans with guac and tortilla chips for a late lunch as I'm just about to make a late breakfast of bruschetta.

Morning everyone! I’m on a train going for a physio appointment but will also fit in a bit of sales browsing either side of it. I’m after a denim skirt and have spotted something promising on the Hush website but want to try on in person.

Then home to help DS check his packing as he’s off to a music residential tomorrow. He’s usually good at sorting his own packing, but forgot to take pyjamas on holiday last month so I’m going to quiz him on a few key items to make sure!

Then a quiet night catching up on TV. DH is making homemade pizza and we might make a batch of mojitos if we can be bothered.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I was up early because of sore feet and legs. I've stripped the bed and the whites are now washed and hanging on the line. The duvet cover is washing away at the moment. I've had two coffees and a cuppa with a pancake
Shortly I'm meeting a friend for second breakfast at the local garden centre. Later I have a Tesco delivery. In between I will clean the bathroom. Then iron. Have a good day.

Morning all. I had our 3rd and final baby on Monday, so I'm spending my day chasing around a toddler, being a milk machine for baby & playing cars with my eldest, soaking up all the love and chaos. I did have to referee my cats this morning to had gotten themselves into a fight with a bigger cat in the garden. DH was out in his boxers and my pretty pink dressing gown at 6:20am ushering them back inside. So frantic start! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone - best thread of the week! Just having breakfast with the kitchen door open. It’s a lovely sunny day. I’ve been awake since about 5 - really struggling with pain ( I have always had a weakness in my shoulder blade area & every so often it results in a feeling like a trapped nerve). Plus my fractured arm still hurts a lot first thing. I feel queasy which is probably from the stronger painkillers. Trying to cut down. Pretty much up to date with the washing although there are 2 loads to hang out. For once there’s hardly anything to go in the dishwasher. It made a refreshing change to see a nice clear worktop when I came down to make a cuppa. I had that one in bed with 2 dark choc digestives then made another for me & DH when he woke at about 7.30. He’s working today but only for a couple of hours then he’ll go for a bike ride this afternoon. I have no plans at all. Probably sit in the garden with the bunnies & clear my E Mails. When I got my new phone, I was determined not to let them pile up as I had literally thousands on my old account. Crazy! Need to book a cut & colour. I have quite a bit of grey. DD16 went to see her GF yesterday & ended up staying over so we won’t see her til about 6. Dishwasher is now on. DH hoovered downstairs yesterday & I might mop the kitchen floor. Rabbits fed. I love watching them munching away. Tonight I’ll hopefully go out somewhere to try & see some shooting stars. Pizzas for tea.Have a great Saturday all ☀️😎☀️

I’m off to London on the train, going to a museum and maybe an art gallery. Trying to do more on my own. Mixed feelings mum guilt going on too that’s due to my clingy one making me feel bad! But I intend to enjoy!

I'm shattered. I've been up since 5:30 this morning looking after a sleep over guest. I've spent about 3 hours making sure that they didn't wake up the rest of the household.

You could bring back something nice to eat that you can "only" get from London as a treat for your kids. Hopefully they will then want you to go to London in the future so that you can get more of it. 😉

DH is away for the weekend so I’ve got the house to myself. Currently sitting in the garden sipping a cherry Pepsi max. It’s nice weather, blue skies and sunny but not hot.

DM is coming over for lunch - I’m
making a chicken and butterbean dish - and I’ll drag her out on a dog walk. She’s very slow and not the most confident walker but it’s good for her!

Later I’ll find something to watch that DH wouldn’t be interested in and have an early night.

Morning @lucysmam sounds like you've a lovely, peaceful weekend ahead of you. I've had a busy morning so far. Dropped adult DD to work for 8.30 and then I headed to town to do some shopping. Bought cards, wrapping paper and a notebook in the stationery shop. Then I hit Tesco, the butcher's and the fishmonger's. Got home and unpacked everything. Having a cuppa and a pecan pastry as a little treat. I'm due at the hairdresser's for 12 and then I'm going to buy a new baby outfit in the local shop.

When I get home from the hairdresser's, I need to blitz the microwave and fridge.

Dinner will be my usual Saturday turkey burgers. The burgers are from the butcher's and they're really good. I don't eat the same thing every day of the week, but Saturday is a busy day and burgers are quick and easy.

Saturday evening is TV and wine night. I'm watching 'Little Fires Everywhere' which is really gripping and the last episode I watched was particularly good. I have SKY movies, so I might see if there's any good movies on. Although I'm starting to think I might ditch SKY movies - seems to be all kids movies and action/adventure type movies.

DD seems to have a cold coming on (she's only just recovered from Covid) and will be tired after her early start. I'd imagine she'll be in bed early.

It's a Bank Holiday weekend here, so I'm relishing the prospect of three days off work. Sheer bliss! Although seems there's bad weather on the way.

I've been for my run with my friend and had a catch up coffee with her to exchange holiday news.
Dh and ds1 have gone to the rugby club to watch the Lions match. Ds2 is wallowing in his bed after a party last night - he had a wee bit too much to drink so I shall be loudly hoovering and playing music!
I need to pack as we're going to stay with SIL for a few days tomorrow, and we need to get some food in for ds1 who is staying here and also to take with us.
Then it's curry night with both dcs and ds1's gf. It's unusual to have everyone in for a meal at the moment so I'm looking forward to that.

Morning all. Quiet morning here, cups of tea, bath, short walk, done a load of washing. Taking DD out to a sculpture park this afternoon. Lovely sunshine here so hopefully will be a nice place to wander round and have an ice cream. DH cooking lamb curry tonight. Enjoy your days all.

I'm at Heathrow on my way to Milan to see my mum who lives about an hour from the airport. ... and I'm flying back tomorrow evening to be back for work on Monday. A lot of travelling for less than a day there. But I cannot get time off work and I haven't seen her since May

Have walked the dogs and tidied the kitchen.

Good morning all. House work and piano practise are done and DH has just made me a cappuccino so I'm sitting here catching up on mumsnet. I'm feeling very hungry and don't want to snack, so hopefully this cappuccino will stave off the hunger pangs for a bit.

Later I'm going into town to pick up a book I ordered as birthday gift for my sister, then DH and I are going to a concert. Hopefully we will have our dinner out, otherwise it will be a case of hunting through the freezer to see what's lurking there.
