Apart from the usual missing cats, with the heat they have probably gone to find some cool shade; mine has.
Someone hears a strange noise at night. What is it?
Why was there a helicopter landing by the pub? taking girls to the prom
Someone has taken a local burger van, not to be seen again

What's on your local Facebook

Photos of local delinquent youths up to no good. One of them identified in the comments straight away as they are nearly always involved in any antisocial behaviour.
The mother comes on to argue with the commenters for posting pics of her little love and accuses everyone of being 'nonces'

The ones that irk me most for some reason are "does someone own this cat?" Or "has someone got a scanner to identify this cat?"

Cats roam, that's their nature. Why do some people assume they're lost/strays just because they've wandered into their space? Leave them be, or shoo them out of your garden if you don't want them there. They'll find their way back home.

Our rural village has lots of new builds and people moving in from towns and cities for a quieter life.

Recent FB gripes have been people moaning about cockerels waking them early, noisy tractors (can't they use another road to get through the village etc?). The best comment was from a lady who wanted horse muck removed from the roads, she was going to contact the council and police as (according to her) it's a real thread to safety because someone could slip and injure themselves!

Ours is about the planning application that must be Londoners coming to our village. There is no evidence it is people from London, plus our 'village' is made up of land sold by two of the big estates for housing so 99% of the people are not local born and bred.

Big drama on ours this morning as travellers have broken into the primary school field (again) and it's supposed to be sports day tomorrow.

Ongoing bunfight about the proposed new petrol station. Lots of very vocal people on both sides; our nearest petrol station is 8 miles away, so it would be very welcome, but it will apparently kill the village shop. It all kicks off every few days!

Also the usual misdelivered parcels, lost cats, and 'concerns' about teenagers pissing about.
