I'm a Londoner and I've been feeling really down in the dumps reading about crime in London.

I need some cheering up to remember that this city is full of life and happiness and joy. What do you love to do?

I personally love the museums and want to start moving into art galleries next.

Why on earth are you watching something that upsets you? Just go out and enjoy living. Leave the phone at home, that solves the risk of phone theft and your online addiction.

Be a tourist for a day. I recently walked from Buckingham Palace to Leicester square (I am a tourist!) and was blown away. London is so beautiful architecturally. I also walked up Regent St and was in awe.

I also love how nice everyone is London is, I'm sure it's not always the case but it's been my experience. I'm usually there with my kids visiting family and everyone is polite and accommodating, they make seats free on the tube. There is just a general feeling of goodness there.

Had an amazing day at work today. Had lunch in a park with work colleagues and then went out for a fab dinner with my family. The restaurant was nice, upmarket and had a great view. Feeling a lot better.

Which restaurant?

I’m in London this weekend with little one for a gig. So far we’ve found a cool brewery with fab food and a lovely Turkish cafe. I love all the different experiences a trip to the city gives my little one. Now off to find somewhere parks before the gig

Feeling a lot better. Recently I've been out for lovely dinners with friends in London.

I've even had a lovely dinner out at the University Women's Club. I've asked been out and about in Mayfair and just love the area

Great.

One of my favourite things to do when wandering round Mayfair used to be popping into random art galleries to see if anything interesting was on display.

Shop, drink, eat, and stay in really nice spa hotels.
Also, being alone in rooftop/fancy bars with my kindle.
Charity shop hunting too.

When the weather is nice like it has been, I like taking a book and headphones with a good playlist on my phone and sitting under a tree in one of the big London parks - usually Hyde Park or somewhere on Hampstead Heath.

Simple, but we get such infrequent good weather, it’s one of my great pleasures.

I'm from a small village in the north, I absolutely love London and wish it was cheaper by train so I could visit more often.

I love the amount of galleries including some smaller ones eg Guildhall, Wallace, Saatchi

The underground - can get to the other side of London quickly, it's like magic

Old bookshops, my favourite is Watkins books (they have talks which I would definitely attend if I lived in London).

The old Roman ruins dotted around the city
