If you had 2 weeks home alone, what would you do?

DH and DS are going off on a father-and-son trip together tomorrow, so I will be home alone. I've been so busy with work recently that I've planned nothing. What would you do if you had the house to yourself for a couple of weeks?

Just lie quietly in the dark.

Book myself a holiday

Sleep

Re-gloss the stairs

Cook seafood

Sleep

Jump for joy.

Oh my God. How wonderful.

See friends on walks, look at art, listen to the radio, have long baths, eat very little.

Chill
Then throw out shite from our house
And then clean house from top to bottom clearing out any more shite identified.

Watch too much TV
Have wine for dinner

Get a face lift

I had a week to myself recently and I went to a full-on health farm ON MY OWN, where I drank juice for 5 days and had loads of daily treatments. It was incredible. The most indulgent and relaxing week of my life.

Oh I’m so jealous. 2 weeks!!!

I don’t know what I’d do, but I’d enjoy it

Watch all the Glastonbury coverage. Listen to music at full blast. Eat spicy aubergine dishes. Have cheese for dinner. Do lots of exercise because of all the cheese.

Paint, draw and sew. Rearrange the furniture.

Last year I took a week at home and did nothing but read and binge watch tv. I have not been that refreshed in years. Best vacation I have ever had.

Netflix, wine, takeaways

I definitely wouldn’t go anywhere apart from walking the dog and getting food/ wine . I would be glued to Wimbledon and ignoring all SM and phone calls apart from children !
Have got 10 days in July minus husband and will do as above but without Wimbledon.

Tidy up, chuck other people’s junk out when they weren’t there to see me

Absolutely nothing. I’d cook fabulous meals, drink wine, read, binge watch stuff and neither leave the house nor speak to another human being for 14 days. It would be glorious.

I'll be working, but need to do something to stop me from working non-stop. 🙂 Normally that's DH telling me my dinner's ready, or it's time to go for an evening walk, or watch TV.

I do want to repaint the utility room. If I can only force myself to start the job then I will get it done and feel I've achieved something.

DS finished his A levels a few days ago and I would love to throw away all the piles of notes in his bedroom, but I will have to hold back and let him have that pleasure.
