Period knickers - which brand, and any tips?

Ok I’m sick of buying pads. If you’re a convert to period pants please tell me which brand to buy and which to avoid.
Been looking at Modi Bodi on th advice of a friend but unsure if they run small, big or true to size. Also how many pairs do you get for, say, a 5day period?
What else should I know?

I use the M&S ones and dd likes them too. Preferred to modi

Those who like M&S, what about if you have medium flow? They only seem to offer what they call heavy absorbency or light

I use a mix of m and s, primark and massive ones from cheeky wipes for overnight. Bought a 3 pack to start with and phased them in over time. I'd say 6 pairs would do me but I have more than that. I rinse and wash them at the end of the day. I've got a really heavy bleed.

I don’t find the heavy flow M&S ones bulky so use on heavy and light days

i found the modi ones felt more like a nappy tbh

Washable pads are also a decent option if you’re looking to ditch disposables, but don’t want the initial outlay of period knickers. I was able to buy about 15 pads for less than £20 online, and they’ve lasted really well.

I bought Modibody ones for DD at night as she is very heavy and always seemed to leak out the humungous towels I bought. They were insanely expensive and only got that brand as it showed the padding when all the way up the back (where she seemed to be getting leaks). Anyway, they leaked!! And right in the gusset too! I might not have noticed if they were black. So since then she's been wearing them at night with a towel, completely defeating the point! Plus it's sort of put me of trying any others for her.

Mobodi gets my vote,! They run slightly small i think

I bought cheeky pants brand first as they were fairly cheap, thinking I would invest in some of the more expensive brands like modibodi if I got on well with them. I've just stuck with the cheeky pants though as they are great, really comfy, easy to wash, don't leak.

I struggled with the cheeky wipes ones, they were so horribly plastic I felt like I was wrapped in sweaty clingfilm. That said, they were very absorbant.

I bought 2 pairs of the heavy modi bodi ones thinking that they would be better due to the brand and price but was disappointed. In my opinion it was expensive, feels like a nappy and leaks. So pointless. A cheaper pack of three I got from Amazon were much better and didn’t leak.

I've got a set of three M&S ones and a modi ones. They're all fine but the modi ones are better quality and more comfortable but also pricey

I’ve got Wuka for the night time as they’re much bulkier and so good for the random positions I sleep in. For the daytime I use M&S heavy flow. They’re great and really affordable. They also dry quite quickly when they’ve been washed. I think I’ve got about 12 pairs in all. Tend to keep one in my work bag just in case and I use them for exercising too so I need plenty

I really recommended checking the gusset goes all the way to the back, I wasted money on some that didn’t and leaked over night. The heavy flow modi bodi ones are amazing.

Another vote for the m and s ones. I like the high waist.

Wuka and mobibody both good for someone with mega periods. I’ve got some cheap Tesco ones for the last couple of days of period/spotting which are fine for that

DD who has extremely heavy periods finds modibodi to be the best by far. Expensive, but they wash really well and have lasted for several years now. My flow is light to moderate and I find the much cheaper M&S ones are okay for me

M&S but size down! They run big. I got the heavy flow ones and haven’t leaked through yet. Sometimes on very heavy days I put a pad on with them and then remove the pad and just use the pants.

I have M&S, Modi Bodi and Uniqlo and the Uniqlo are my favourite by far. They are smoother and lighter and dry really fast. Size slightly up is my advice.

I used the modibodi ones at night, they appear in the next sale quite a lot, bought the ones for heavy flow and never had any leaks with them and that was post having DD2 when my periods were really heavy. Found them to be true to size

How often during the day you change them? Let’s say so you put a fresh pair on after getting washed at 8am, how long would that do you for on a normal flow day? I’m not sure whether I should be taking a spare pair in my work backpack?
