Anyone else starting C25k?

I started Couch to 5k today and wondered if anyone else was starting at a similar time and wanted to have a chat about how they are finding it?

I’ve never been able to go running and have tried C25k twice and have given up early on so going to try and persevere this time!

I really enjoyed my 1st run today (glad there wasn’t too much actual running!) even though it was warm and raining. When I got home I felt really good.

Planning to do my next tomorrow as I’ve got a busy weekend and am unlikely to get a chance to go out and run.

Just managed to finish week 7 - I haven’t got as far as on the first run of the week, taking it steadier as I think i overdid it before. However managed to run for 25 minutes so pleased with that.

I’ve finally completed week one and am on week two (I cannot believe it’s taken me this long!! I will never complete at this rate).

Well done on the PB @popandchoc

How’s everyone getting on?

I’ve just finished week 5 (after repeating week 4 a couple of times). Can’t believe I can run for 20 minutes now without stopping - never imagined I’d be able to do that! The programme really works. Can’t wait to get started on week 6 now.

Well done @Creu doesn't matter if it's slow progress, it's still progress.

@sproutsandparsnips i have just finished week 7 as well today.

@MummyInTheNecropolis well done! I found that the hardest step up so that is a great achievement.

Am I the only one who always reads this as circa 25 thousand?

popandchoc · 27/07/2025 13:35

Just wanted to pop on to say i completed couch 2 5k . Very proud of myself. Hope everyone is doing ok.
I am going to do a park run with my friend next weekend to celebrate haha.

bluegreygreen · 28/07/2025 17:41

First attempt at week 1 run 1 today!

Not a roaring success - have never run before and managed to get to the 5th short 'run' sequence before I just had to stop and rest (the others I was at least attempting to run before dropping back to a walk).

Have never run before so this is a tiny achievement even though not properly completed.

Haggisfish3 · 29/07/2025 01:00

@bluegreygreen just keep going!! I was the same to start. Couldn’t even do 30s of running. You will amaze yourself by the end.

Well done, that’s amazing! 👏

I'm just back from holiday so haven’t done any running this week, but will be starting week 7 tomorrow.

sproutsandparsnips · 30/07/2025 15:18

Well done @popandchoc! I also managed to complete it before going on holiday last week. I actually have to do a 10k in September, and that seems impossible now. But I agree, I’ve come so far since the first week, and managed 45 mins of running this week, though it was not a pretty sight or smell! Agree with @Haggisfish3 , @bluegreygreenyou will surprise yourself - trust the process……
