This weekend I meet my people!

30th Jan 2019, me and five others created a WhatsApp group after meeting on MN.

Four of us remain. This weekend we finally meet for the first time!

These ladies were with me for COVID. We laughed, we cried. Our toddlers grew in to children. We've experienced loss, illness, new jobs, studying.

Just wanted to enjoy that the power of MN brought us together. Unless there's a trucker called Dave who I'm about to accidentally meet this weekend!

What happened to the other two? Are they going to be starting a thread called "AIBU to be hurt my friends are getting together without me?" 😉

Did you create the group by asking for like minded people on MN? Would love to be a part of one (little bit wary of Dave the trucker though)

..I live in Cumbria and the logistics of travelling to London didn't work out for us!

I went to some London meet ups back in the day - they were a blast and I wish I had stayed in touch with some of them

Still alive and not murdered yet. I'm feeling like I'm going to finish this weekend and still be alive 😄

I met a lovely group of Mnetters years ago. Most of us are still in touch online and meet up here and there.
It's a lovely bonus to the site

Not an mner but I rekindled a friendship( from 30 years ago) 3 years ago. Having nice people in your life is very good for the soul and mh!
I bet many more 'survived' the mental turmoil of Covid with friends..

I joined an ante natal thread in 2013, we still chat on fb but three of us meet yearly in the city two of us live in and we met last week. It was lovely!
