I was told in store today that if I needed to return an online order I would have to open an online return order and either have it picked up or from home or take it to an order pick up point. Previously my store was more than happy to return home delivered orders as well as in store click and collect orders.
I once had a problem where I’d returned online order via the post office and failed to receive my refund. Lady I had spoken to in local store said that it’s safer and a quicker refund if taken to a store. So M&S I hope this is a temporary solution as I will not be ordering until I can get in store refund regardless of where I purchased. Some items I have had in the past had no option for click and collect items but I could easily return to a store.

Thanks for mentioning! I was going to buy some items for my daughter online, but am only willing to return in store. So I guess it will wait / not happen.

Just in case anybody is interested in how long orders take:

I ordered two pairs of jeans on Tuesday morning (10th) when I saw that online ordering was back. The parcel was dispatched today (12th) so a pretty quick turnaround. It has been sent with Evri on a two-day delivery service so will hopefully arrive on Saturday (four days after placing the order). When I ordered, it said that estimated delivery would be “by Friday 20th” so it’s looking like it will arrive a lot quicker than I had feared!

I’ve been dieting recently and my old fave jeans are ridiculously loose now so I am very excited about finally having a replacement pair! I’ve been checking the store every week with no joy.

…and they arrived this morning! Three days after ordering and a whole week earlier than the estimate.

I’m so glad M&S is back and am looking forward to the full range being available (and click and collect).

I think it’s because they’re still navigating through the cyber attack and online isn’t fully functioning yet. No in store orders or click and collect available yet . I feel for the staff that are on the front line of this. They don’t know when it’ll all come together and must smile through it.

OneLoudTiger · 19/06/2025 22:58

I was in my local M&S this evening and the sale was not very inspiring - I was expecting more given they must have so much stock to shift!?
