When I'm really in the mood to have a proper chuckle, I watch Instagram reels. Far funnier than fb or tiktok. Some of the clips on there have made me cry laughing.
One of my favourites is this big burly black guy getting baptised. Like, full-immersion baptism. And he slips when he's getting back on his feet, and accidentally pulls in the guy doing the baptism. This guy goes completely under the water, and then slips himself and falls back under a second time. And they're both just sort of floundering and splashing around. The clip then switches to this guy in a back room afterwards, looking mortified, but desperately trying to hold in the laughter. Then the guy behind the camera goes, "Brother, you dipped him."
Just thinking about it now, makes me chuckle.
Another favourite is of a woman and an older man sitting on some sort of spongy bench singing a smoochy sounding song in (I think) German, on a tv show. When suddenly the woman falls off the spongy bench and bonk-bonk-bonks down a set of steps. And her voice sort of goes bonk-bonk-bonk as well, as she falls. The whole audience erupts, but there's someone in the audience with a really loud, screamy laugh, that just sets me off even more.
In fact, many of my favourite giggle-clips involve people falling over in some way! There's Alison Hammond knocking a random guy into the Thames, and there's that BBC sport presenter (whose name I can't recall) who falls into a pool when interviewing some British swimming medal winners.
