I love Garron too. And Kalani. It’s so nice to hear an American raving about British stuff and British food.

That’s reminded me though, I’m also obsessed with utterly ridiculous American recipes for “mac and cheese”. Especially the ones that get a big foil tray and all they do is add pasta and just a whole lot of cheese rather than making a sauce. Just stick a whole block of cream cheese in there alongside a block of cheddar, cover in grated cheese then add a whole ton of butter over the top sort of recipe. They look usually hideous to me but I can’t stop watching them.

I also love Japanese omelette videos and my second favourite thing after watching those is going to the comments to see how many people moan about the eggs still being runny. Bonus points if they say “raw” or “salmonella” in them.

I am really shocked by the number of people who watch pimple popping videos. My MIL watches them and other similar stuff with people getting lumps removed or dead skin sloughed off. I used to squeeze my spots (and a couple of particularly satisfying boils!) and have the scars to prove it, but the idea of watching other people having stuff popped and lanced … 🤢😆

Cake decorating and people making seaside rock. The second one is mesmerising, I watched a couple then kept getting more and had to stop myself watching them all otherwise my whole feed would be that!

My daughter showed me a guy who plays rock paper scissors with you (just a video obvs but you play against him) and if you lose you have to go to bed! She said she does it every night and genuinely feels compelled to go to bed if she loses lol. Ridiculous.
