Coconut water - does anyone actually like this?

Bought some today, as been told it’s a great thirst quencher.

Erm, it’s a ‘Nope’ from me!

my husband loves it - he buys the kirkland stuff by the box load. we currently have 7 boxes holding 9 cartons each in our garage and that will only last him around 3 weeks or so. can’t stand it myself.

I love it! I live off the stuff. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Love it. Bit I spent a lot of time travelling Central America where I’d have fresh coco water all the time.

I like it fresh from a green coconut; agree the packaged stuff ranges from meh to bleurgh. Never thought it tasted like spunk, but I wouldn't buy that in a tetrapak either!

I tried it for the first time a few months ago when I was deciding what drink to get as part of a meal deal. I watched loads of people choose the vita coconut milk so I decided to try something new and out of my comfort zone. Surprisingly I loved it. So I’ve been buying it ever since when it’s on special offer.

I love the viva coco one...almost always choose it as my drink with a meal deal.
Gave DS1 a sip to try though and he asked "mum has that gone off?"

Fresh out of a coconut, as in King Coconut on a beach or by the pool in Sri Lanka, it is delicious (tot of white rum optional).
Dead out of a tetrapak, pretty rank.

I love coconut water, but don't like coconut flesh or milk!

It is the miracle hangover cure.
Glass before sleep, glass in the morning and it's like no alcohol ever happened😂

Some brands are rank though. You need to find one you like

I am not fussy and am generally a greedy guts who will consume anything in front of me. Coconut water, however, foul.

Fresh coconut water drunk straight out of the coconut is delicious and really hydrating. The stuff in cartons is awful. The only decent one I've found is the Rebel Kitchen one in bottles but that is £££.

Might give the recommended ones a go, if I come across them.
I DO love aloe vera drink though, so maybe I'll just stick to that.

They were giving out Vitacoco at the finish line of the Manchester marathon, it was really hot and it was like nectar!

Only good when drinking from a cold coconut on a beach in Thailand

It’s repulsive…its like what i imagine dirty dish water tastes like.
