What is your teenage daughter doing right now?

DGD(16) and her friend are staying with me for a couple of days.

They've been out and about - today I took them to Portobello Market and left them there to fend for themselves.

They're currently trying on the various bits of over-priced vintage/not so vintage skimpy clothing tat, and beautifying themselves before settling down to watch some teen Vampire stuff on Netflix.

When did teenage girls get so tall?

Two teen daughters currently playing I'm not throwing away my shot from Hamilton on the piano (DD1) and raucously but expressively singing along (DD2)! Actually they've just gone into harmony and now DD2 is doing Lafayette in a French accent 😆

She's just sent me a pic of her and her best mate in the hotel bar in Egypt and complaining of mozzie bites on her ankles. And they appear to have met some other teen girl friends. She's just turned 18 so her first solo girls holiday.

In the middle of A levels so there's been a lot of revision today. Going to watch HIGNFY with us in a minute and then I guess scroll Insta and/or do some craft to relax.

She's just got home after going for dessert with friends and is playing with kitten who she misses even when they're only apart for a few hours!

She almost 17 and she’s sat In front of me in the floor cutting up cardboard and gluing it together with a glue gun and a ton of giant glue sticks. She’s making a 3d Orca to match the giant 5 ft whale shark ( complete with lights) she made from scratch last week. She’s incredibly talented and loves crafting things.

16 came to games night at the village hall then we watched HIGNFY on catch up and she's now in bed and probably reading.

I have 3 teenage girls for all my sins, two have been out riding their ponies and have now gone to sleepover with a mutual friend group and my eldest is had been working this evening but DH picked her up and and we have just had an Indian take away together, a few drinks and celebrated booking her uni accommodation.

18yo dd1 is still asleep until dd2 wakes her up.

Dd2 has just been down to make some toast. She's gone back up to get dd1 up, and get dressed.

They're off father's day shopping...eventually.

Mine has just come back from her school end of year celebration, with a stipend for highest grade average (so I am feeling very proud, especially as she has missed a lot of school this year due to illness and stress) and is insisting she is well enough to go out for our traditional end of school year sushi, despite going straight to bed as soon as she got back.

Visiting teen girls have now departed for deepest Somerset and I'm doing the laundry in their wake!

They set off in their skimpy tops with a bit of midriff showing, baggy trousers, and a dozen or so jangly baubles and bangles on wrists and around neck.

What made me laugh was their using a long scarf, Hippy style, in place of a belt to hold up said baggy trousers, something I did 50 years ago! Smile
