DGD(16) and her friend are staying with me for a couple of days.

They've been out and about - today I took them to Portobello Market and left them there to fend for themselves.

They're currently trying on the various bits of over-priced vintage/not so vintage skimpy clothing tat, and beautifying themselves before settling down to watch some teen Vampire stuff on Netflix.

When did teenage girls get so tall?

Dd 3 (16) is at a yoga class with her boyfriend's mum and then she's going to work. She had her haircut yesterday exactly as she wanted and this morning she hates it. So much cajoling to get her to go out today.
Dd2 (19) has just completed her first solo meds round as a student nurse. She text me on her break to tell me. 😊

DD’s friends have just left, trooping out the door after a sleepover last night. All 6 of them said thank you for having me and tidied up before they went ❤️ I’d imagine DD is in her room, playing on her phone and avoiding me as I asked her to hoover when they left 😂

I'm up to do an early shift, DD (18) is in bed after a night out at the pub with her friends who were celebrating a birthday. I was asleep by the time she got in, so I don't know how many rum & cokes were consumed. I'll ring in the late afternoon to see how she is.

My DD (now 22) was gifted the Hamilton songbook for her 17th birthday and spent months singing through with various friends. Happy days.

I have no idea what DD1 is doing as she’s away at uni. I hear from her quite a lot but don’t know the details of her day to day life which is possibly for the best. She loves her uni city and has matured more since last September than during the 5 years before that!

DD2 is in her room as always, she has severe depression and it doesn’t seem to be improving atm. I pop up to see her every now and then but she doesn’t really want to chat.

My 18 yo is at work before coming home at 3 to revise for A Levels.

That's hard going with DD2. It's tough being mum sometimes. Hope you're keeping okay. X

One is in the middle of A levels, so revision, revision and more revision.

Other teen is having a relax on the xbox after a busy day of sports finals yesterday, although he's just been and asked me if I fancy a bike ride in a minute, so that's the next couple of hours planned.

We've just had a huge brunch together. We love a decadent weekend family breakfast when we're all around.

Just been playing cricket, now helping DH with some flat pack shelves. She's 5'7", 14 in October coming, but I think she's stopped growing. Was freakishly tall until she was about 11, then everyone started catching her up.

Watching something on her laptop in bed. She emerged from her room to wash her hair and make a mess in the kitchen while I out taking DC2 to a party, but probably won’t again until dinner time.

At Nandos or the cinema for her friend's 18th - they're evidently much better behaved than I was at that age, pleasantly surprised that there is no wild party planned!

It's her 18th birthday. We had a party at home and she's just left with her friends to go and have her first drink in a pub.
Her friends are very sensible and promised to look after her, but of course I won't be happy until she's back home 😀

18yo: Washing up after moaning it is so unfair she's been asked to wash up when she's agreed to work tomorrow 🙄. so unfair...

15yo's just been in the shower, seems to be tidying her room after words were had with the 18yo about taking the piss...wonder who's after Brownie points 🤔

My DSD 13 is in her room with her friend giggling, watching Lost and scoffing the pizza I’ve just made, think they’ve snuck an Easter egg in there too (can’t believe she’s got any left!)

She's trying to sleep on a broken airbed in a sports hall with 80 other girls at volleyball camp.
She has been messaging me sounding rather fed up about it, poor girl.

So lovely to hear about all these young women enjoying life, enjoying their hobbies and chilling out. 🥰 Gladens the heart when you look at what is going on around the world.

I don’t know what mine is doing as she’s at uni. She’ll either be working (a job she loves) or having a film night with her housemates.

One of mine is at gymnastics and the other one is stuffing her face, watching TV.

She's at uni so I will guess that she's probably in the pub. She'll be home next week, so can't wait for that.

Only have one now and she only just about qualifies!
She’s currently just taken delivery of a takeaway with her boyfriend, they’ve got the fire going downstairs 😂 they’re about to rewatch stranger things. it’s fucking June and it’s freezing!
