What type do you have and are you happy with it?

We’ve been munched at by carpet moths and I’m so over carpet which is impossible to clean properly especially with dogs!

Sanded varnished floorboards, not cold. I will get a rug eventually. Can be quite slippery at times

Natural wood block. Looks gorgeous and is warm and quite a good insulator. And needs minimal care to look good.

I bought a 1930 house two years ago and removed all the old carpets (I hate carpets...) and restored the original wood flooring in all the rooms.

I added rugs in each room.

It is not cold and much easier to keep clean.

Carpet moths got all of our beautiful, 3 year old 100% wool carpets. We replaced all rooms with engineered wood and synthetic carpets on the stairs/landing.

I would never get wool carpets again. All my wool clothes now live in zip lock bags.

We have cotton rugs in every room, all are washable. I wouldn't even risk wool rugs as they are very susceptible to moths.

We do have wool duvets and blankets though and they have been fine. They didn't even get affected by the moths which had invaded the whole house and took over a year to get rid of completely even after we pulled up the carpets.

We have engineered wooden floor (whatever that means) in our bedroom. I love it as it’s easy to clean.

I’d love to have hardwood floor someday (particularly in the lounge)

Engineered oak throught the whole house here except the stairs where have a runner because we have little kids and I didn’t want to worry about them slipping. Easy to keep clean. Doesn’t feel cold in winter, I suppose you would probably want socks/slippers but the rooms themselves are lovely and warm.
