I love my hot chocolate maker / milk frother

ResidentPorker · 20/05/2025 17:48

Books and a cat.

ResidentPorker · 20/05/2025 17:49

Oh, and painkillers.

GroovyChick87 · 20/05/2025 17:50

Everything I buy I see as essential to be honest. However, I make sure I never run out of tea and coffee, milk, bread, painkillers, alcohol and cleaning products.

Purplecatshopaholic · 20/05/2025 17:51

Various dogs and cats
Compeed anti-blister stick
A sleep mask

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 20/05/2025 17:51

Agree with books, cat, painkillers and plasters and gin.

I shall add tissues.

Turfaccountant · 20/05/2025 17:51

Waste disposal unit, would never be without one now.

RogueMandible · 20/05/2025 17:51

overmydeadbody · 20/05/2025 17:46

Coffee.

Milk.

Gin and tonic.

All these. Plus a bath, an open fire and a corkscrew.

minnienono · 20/05/2025 17:53

None of those op, well I have plasters and bite cream… cafetière, strong coffee, bacon, really good knife for chopping and quality pans

zenas · 20/05/2025 17:54

Kettle
Tea
Decaf coffee, sugar free vanilla coffee syrup
Ice cold jug of water in the fridge
Yogurts, cheese, eggs.

I could live on this, but I obviously have more. I have a gastric illness, so choice of food is important. The above would keep me alive without killing me lol.

There are so many things we need, most of which become apparent during a power strike!

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 20/05/2025 17:54

Kettle, kindle, decent set of knives, the perfect mug, my garden

Cuppachuchu · 20/05/2025 17:57

Gin
Tonic
Coffee
Tea
Paracetamol
Bread
Butter
Milk
Marmalade
Toilet paper

These are the "never run out of things" essential to life. Imo.

Cuppachuchu · 20/05/2025 17:58

Oh. Forgot dog food, 🐕

WonderingWanda · 20/05/2025 17:58

For me it would be the dishwasher dh and I would've parted ways years ago without it. Also a second toilet, had years with only one loo and it was dreadful if anyone was unwell. Soft lamps for the living room, I hate when I go other peoples houses and they sit in there in the evening with the big light on in all its stark unrelaxing brightness.

Shimmyshine193 · 20/05/2025 18:00

I agree with the hot water bottle. My top tip is to buy a second kettle and second hot water bottle and keep them upstairs. So nice on cold winter weekends. I keep the kettle on my bedside table and reboil the bottle water in the morning and snuggle back into bed for a bit.

RedVanYellowVan · 20/05/2025 18:00

A well tuned piano.

Chocolate cake.

Spare supplies of toilet paper.

Gwenhwyfar · 20/05/2025 18:02

Hot water bottle is useful where I live now, but I have lived in places where it wasn't necessary - UK but small and modern so no freezing bedrooms.

banivani · 20/05/2025 18:02

Cheese slicer.
Potato peeler, scandi style.
Coffee + milk and Lapsang Souchong.
Wifi.
edit: toilet paper of course! But the above more original ;)
