How much do you pay monthly for water?

3 bed house, 2 adults and 1 year old
2 showers / day (5-10 mins long)
1 very shallow bath every other day
dishwasher 2-3 times / week (quick cycle)
washing machine once per day (1hr cycle)

we’ve had our 6 monthly bill through for £90 a month going forward. Is that the norm for most households or do we have a leak/use lots of water? Currently paying £70 a month…

I really need to get a water meter! Me and DD, we’re not even here 2 days a week and I pay £40 a month. Think this would half on a meter.

6 bed house, 6 people, water bill £0. Thank you Scotland 😆

£22.

In our old house (no sewer) it was £9.

I'm with Thames Water. I live alone,2 bedroom flat, and pay £70 per month, which I think is outrageous! Mainly because up until March this year,it was £50 per month. It's always increased, but only by about 5 or 6 quid a year. I'm seriously considering getting a water meter.

Def consider getting a meter.
I was paying £40pm (alone in a 3 bed house) and with a meter it has dropped to £99 for 6 months which works out about £16pm.
I am also with Thames Water.

3 bedrooms, just me usually, electric shower daily, dishwasher every 2 days, 2 washing loads a week, garden watered in spring/ summer. On a meter was £16 now £30 With price rises ☹️.

Ah right - same as mine last year. Be prepared for a big rise ☹️.

Severn Trent water meter… just me… £200 for the last 12 months so roughly £17 per month

Ours went up this year from £70 to £90 a month. I’ve enquired about water meter as they then do tariffs for those on UC etc but unfortunately they can fit a meter to my pipe work.

I’m currently waiting for an update on any potential reduction based on circumstances and household.

There is now just me and my daughter in the house full time, older ones are part time between me and their boyfriends homes. No dishwasher. I shower 6 x days and bath 1 on average. Daughter showers every other day. Washing machine on weekends and my day off. We used to be a family of 6 here at one point and wouldn’t really have quibbled if we still had a full house.
