unsweetened almond milk (except for Lidl’s which is rank!)
I don’t mind oat or soya either

Almond milk is an ecological disaster. You might as well club seals and stop recycling.

Alpro My Cuppa in tea and oat milk on cereal

Well if I could drink cows milk I would but ya know, not everyone is blessed with such a digestive system and it’s not like I’m drinking litres of it a week so go and preach and knit your own lentils and leave me alone thanks……

NatalieH2220 · 30/04/2025 20:53

Alpro oat milk for my son with milk allergy. I quite like the Alpro coconut milk barista one for me.

Maitri108 · 30/04/2025 20:54

I use unsweetened soya milk.

Oat milk from the milkman 😊

Same - I hate generating so much waste with tetrapacks.

Though I use unsweetened soya for white sauces, otherwise they a get a bit porridgey.

MissMarplesNiece · 30/04/2025 20:59

I like oat milk. I don't have a brand preference, I buy whichever is the least expensive. At the moment it's one I bought in Asda.

HouseFullOfChaos · 30/04/2025 21:04

Oat milk can vary greatly brand to brand. T

he rude health organic or the Glebe Farm barista are my favourites and don't have loads of extra ingredients. Glebe farm is all UK grown and made, I'm not sure about Rude Health. I get them from Amazon subscribe and save. I always look for just oats, water, oil and salt in the ingredients. I find the two I've said taste identical and go well in coffee, smoothies and on cereal.

Oatly

roshi42 · 30/04/2025 21:07

Oatly semi or barista for tea. Very specifically Waitrose Essential almond (fresh, not long life) for protein shakes.

I can't drink cows milk. So oat or pea are fine, or just don't use it.
There's no excuse for almond milk. Drink it all you like,as long as you know you're destroying the environment.

HappyHedgehog247 · 30/04/2025 21:10

I use unsweetened soy in tea and oat in coffee. Cooking is either depending on what it is.
I use the Lidl ones but thinking about moving to purer options.

isthismylifenow · 30/04/2025 21:20

I like macadamia milk and buy that the most, then almond or oat.

I don't like the taste of soy.

DUsername · 30/04/2025 21:25

Unsweetened soya. When I researched this it seemed to be the most nutritious

This.

Disappointedneighbour · 30/04/2025 21:30

I used Plenish because it has the least ingredients in it. Trying to avoid UPFs

nyancatdays · 30/04/2025 21:32

Unsweetened almond. I buy the alpro refrigerated one most of the time, but I don’t mind long life supermarket ones either.

I do wish that cafes and restaurants got the unsweetened kind, though - if they have almond milk it’s invariably the kind with sugar added.

Do you say that to everyone who drinks cows milk? Almond milk is nowhere near as bad as that.

RedRosie · 30/04/2025 21:41

Unsweetened soya milk, preferably European-grown soya and organic. I like the Plenish one best. Most others (and all the "barista" variations of plant milks) seem to have all sorts in them. I'm vegetarian not vegan, but now just prefer soya milk in hot drinks.

henlake7 · 30/04/2025 21:43

I like hazelnut. It's abit sweet but lovely with breakfast and in hazelnut coffee.

TheGrimSmile · 30/04/2025 21:44

Oatly barista. Can't have dairy milk in my coffee anymore - I find it disgusting in comparison.

TheThreeMiracles · 30/04/2025 21:45

Sorry tmi but oatly made me have cramps and loose bowel moments I like koko xx

Mamabear487 · 30/04/2025 21:48

I stopped having dairy around 6 months ago and tried various types but I can only have oat or coconut milk. I didn’t like either but have grown to like oatly the best or alpro as a second. Definitely prefer the ones with sugar in but usually opt for the sugar free

This is bollocks. Totally inaccurate
