How much are you paying for Sky?

Florence4170 · 25/04/2025 17:00

I'm paying £94 a month.
This is for Sky Signature
Broadband
Broadband boost

I have said I'm leaving and they have offered me all sorts - Sky Cinema (don't want it), Sky Spirts (No thanks)...
I just feel that even £74 is ridiculous - or am I just out of touch?

I cancelled mine earlier this year despite their various offers of additional channels. We use other streaming platforms that are far better and other channels are free. It’s an extra £85 in my pocket and not theirs!

FleaBeeBob · 25/04/2025 19:41

I pay £90
Internet, phone line and HD tv - no added extras like sport or cinema or kids
bloody rip off
im preparing myself to call and cancel and they will off me a better deal. It’s such a blooming flaff

If Sky were a person they’d be major red flags

Berrytea · 25/04/2025 19:42

you know there’s a way to get it for free why would you pay £100 a month? I just watch it through others windows

PullTheBricksDown · 25/04/2025 19:43

They're advertising it as 'from £15 a month' at the moment. Don't know what package that gets you and it clearly won't be the best, but even so

popandchoc · 25/04/2025 19:45

I pay £66 for sky stream , broadband, phone and netflix.

Iamanunsafebuilding · 25/04/2025 20:19

My deal has just ended and my payments are now £94.50 a month! We’ve had an email from EE and it looks like we can get the equivalent package including sports for just under £50 a month so we’re going to cancel Sky, I just need to brace myself for the phone call to do it!

Loveduppenguin · 25/04/2025 20:28

€90 for
broadband
tv + netflix
2 mobile phones

stample · 25/04/2025 20:41

No sky here
internet £60
Netflix, prime, now tv, appletv, paramount £50

Listinggracefully · 25/04/2025 20:45

£60 per month for super fast broadband, tv, cinema, uhd and netflix

it is a luxury for us though and I don’t think I’ll renew when my contract ends

MsRosewater · 25/04/2025 20:52

OMG i’m on £112 for HD TV , wifi and talk (landline) 🤯 I’m being screwed!!

DejaMooo · 25/04/2025 20:56

£85 and I feel like we’re being ripped off definitely. I’ve had a reminder that I keep snoozing on my phone to call and cancel. I’m definitely going to do it this week - I think I’ve just been avoiding it as I know they’ll try giving me the hard sell and I hate that.

fruitpastille · 25/04/2025 21:02

We pay about £30 for our broadband and landline. We get freeview channels and pay for netflix and disney+ on top. Nowhere near £90. We watch them on our slightly old tv via a chromecast. I'm thinking of cancelling disney and getting now tv instead but we've got a long series to finish first.

MaltipooMama · 25/04/2025 21:09

£123 here for us 🫣 but we opted for Sky Sports and TNT Sports (both massive football fans plus he likes the darts as well!) so this hikes the price up to bloody extortionate heights

Ohwhatakerfuffle · 25/04/2025 21:17

I left the TV after my contract ended and the price shot up. I was left paying £34 per month for the broadband. I just used a fire stick but did find it quite annoying. Within a few months Sky called me, offered me a broadband upgrade, Sky ultimate TV and Netflix all for £39 a month. So it’s worth sitting it out 😀.

DaisyDukesAuntie · 25/04/2025 21:25

Too chuffing much! £55 and that’s down from nearly £100. I don’t even watch it that much!

Booksaresick · 25/04/2025 21:32

I wouldn’t pay more than £20 for Sky, cancelled mine earlier this year and basically see no difference. Much better tv available on demand and other streaming channels. Just need one of those firestick boxes as a one off purchase from Amazon.

fashionqueen0123 · 25/04/2025 21:34

I love the recording function and apparently the new Sky glass thing doesn’t have it?! Is this true? As that’s what all their new cheap prices are for. But I like my sky q box.

Decapitatedsausage · 25/04/2025 21:53

We are £145!!! We have the kids and movie channels plus multi room. I wanted to cancel as we don’t even bloody use it, we watch Netflix and Amazon!

BearSoFair · 25/04/2025 21:59

£67, talked them down from £94 a few months ago. The first 'deal' they offered me was only saving £1!

CannotBelieveImAskingThis · 25/04/2025 22:04

Just to offer some advice. The 'retention' team have some good offers. However, the 'reinstating' have better ones. I rung and cancelled our sky as we were now out of contract. The retention team called us and I said no as their offers weren't good enough. A week or so later the reinstating team called.

We have Sky signature TV and broadband for £45. Agreed to a 24 month contract literally last week. The offers are there!

Sky glass is just a streaming platform.
It doesn’t have a planner like sky Q. I missed that when I had Glass and ended up keeping the tv (as Im paying it up and it’s a good quality tv) but I now have a sky Q box attached to it. I need to use two remote controls, one fur tv one for sky. It’s a bit annoying. But not the end of the world.

I think im about £100 a month or just over for broadband sky signature and cinema. But my deal runs out shortly.

DumpedByText · 25/04/2025 22:46

Mine was due to go up to £85 for broadband and Sky TV in May.

I called them this morning to get a better price and they got it down to £60 for both.

I got faster broadband in with that price to. I had BT before and I've been happy with Sky and their service.

SleepsAThingOfThePast · 25/04/2025 22:52

No sky
Just netflix and normal tv / catch up etc

Butthechildrentheylovethebooks · 25/04/2025 22:56

£140 a month. Had it now with Sky, just crazy expensive and we mostly watch Netflix and Prime.
We have made the leap and next week changing Internet provider and will get Now TV so can still get Sky Sports. I think we will save almost half.
I have ignored any calls from Sky so I stay strong! They couldn't match what we're moving too, at least not in long term.

mamabluestar · 25/04/2025 23:20

We have recently gone from £65 (just tv) to £15. I'd have completely cancelled but the family like the record function. I did it all through WhatsApp chat
