I’m comforting myself with two things: local elections are often protest votes and no predictor of general elections; and they’re such a bunch of incompetents and will create such an unholy mess that they’ll sink faster and deeper than the Tories.

I’ve put my disreputable old wooly hat on and I’m going full Leveller. Bloody Reform, I cba to camp out without proper shower facilities and my Pilates hasn’t got to the Waving Heavy Placard stage yet.

I really hope you’re right. People have learned nothing from Brexit or Trump and I wonder if most people will care if Reform councillors do very little so long as their bins are collected.
