Now don't waste anytime and force yourself out in the car on your own. Even if it's just up and down the road! I was so nervous going put alone that I took my pet rabbit out woth me. He sat on the passenger seat in a pet carrier, whilst I played relaxation music the first time that I took the car out alone! 😁

keep practicing though, I made myself drive round the block every day after I passed for a couple of weeks.

I'm 47 and I finally passed in February.
It's the best feeling ever!

I thought I'd be off all over the country driving but I kept stalling my new car the first week because it was so different to my instructor's car and I lost my nerve for a bit because it was all so nerve wracking! I really beat myself up and felt awful if I made mistakes as well.

I'm doing better now and I've just taken it slowly and gone further afield gradually.
You might be much better than me but just be kind to yourself if you have a wobble.
