I like the look of the new Omaze house in the Cotswolds, does anyone know where it is?

Near Cirencester apparently. I'm tempted by this one, it's a lovely part of the world.

DilemmaDelilah · 18/04/2025 07:25

@MeanwhileTime yes it does look like that one. Thank you very much! My sisters live around that area and it would be nice to see them more often, so I'm definitely going to try for this one. I haven't been thrilled by the houses in the last few months but this one looks nice.

Is Omaze actually real? Does anyone get thr houses? It seems like a hugely unlikely scam with incredibly low odds to me

Lundier · 18/04/2025 09:05

It's real and has incredibly low odds. You have incredibly low chances of winning, but one person does win.

ArtemisiaTheArtist · 18/04/2025 12:13

I'm not as excited by this one. I don't need a pool nor all the stables. Not fussed by all the little rooms either. I do like the glasshouse though, you'd find me willing away hour after hour in there. I was more taken by the London house for its practicality and location. I've still entered though, for the glasshouse and the annexe (i can rent out or my parents can live there)

DilemmaDelilah · 18/04/2025 15:42

I definitely do need the pool, it's just a shame that it isn't nearer the house and I would have to enclose it. Don't need the stables... I'd either rent them out or convert them. The annex would be perfect for visitors.

I’ve entered. Looks lovely.

Does anyone know if the £10 win I have and have to register to claim is a scam?

We actually know the people who won the recent Lake District one - it was all over the news down here, and she was my daughter's music teacher!

Unless your part of the scam? 🤔🤭

Me and the BBC Local news together!

Why on Earth have Omaze removed the covering dome from the pool?

No it isn’t a scam. I’ve won a few of them. It just allows you to purchase a £10 entry with your winnings.

in the past they used to give you Amazon vouchers. I’ve won a few of them too.

I've always been suspicious of this, too. But if it's legit then I guess the chances of winning would be incredibly low, bit like the lottery.
There you go, I called it the lottery and it's been Lotto for years-shows how much I know about entering competitions 😂

NewAgeNewMe · 20/04/2025 11:19

Thank you @Lazery

Definitely real. Knew one of the first winners. A few of them have done interviews. No idea about odds but must be info out there on that.

Definitely real, someone who lives local to me won one of them. I dont actually know them but if they weren't real someone set up a massive fakery that took in the local press and involved a large cast of characters 😁

It did used to be covered a few years ago when sold but its roof has now gone.

If I won I’d be using some of the £250k to reinstate that. Why on earth would they remove it? We live in the UK not the south of France! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Used to have a roof, now gone. Picture from a sale in 2014.
Note the fountai on the lawn as well, and the lake was a later development.

Believe it’s also called Ready Token House! Would love to know the history of that place name!!

ElleDee46 · 24/04/2025 18:30

They took the pool cover off to help with drone/ariel shots apparently (I live very close to this house and my nosey sister asked a developer).

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 24/04/2025 18:42

How much do people generally gamble?
