Those old geyser contraptions you used to get in eg schools and church halls, what was the brand name? Going mad trying to remember!

No geyser is the gadget, I'm looking for the brand name. People called it by the brand, but I've forgotten it. Bah! For some reason I'm getting a 'muriel' vibe but it isn't muriel. My dad said Ascot but it's not that either.

Not Berco or urn

There's one at the very beginning of the video of paddington visiting the queen.

It's just behind the tray when the man lifts it.

Belling. Or Baby Belling for a small one. That was the brand I used when I made teas at a local cricket club.

It's not an urn. It's a wall mounted cylinder with a gas flame underneath. Absolutely lethal.

This is a Cygnet but the brand I remember is Zip.

Very similar to the Ascot. It's entirely possible that here in Scotland there was another brand. One word, slightly feminine sounding. 'go and switch the Beryl on' or similar.

Today it would be a Zip Hydroboil.
