Those old geyser contraptions you used to get in eg schools and church halls, what was the brand name? Going mad trying to remember!

Rumplestiltskin?

@MorrisZapp I read this the other day and it rang no bells at all, but I’m currently reading a novel set in the 1930s and one of the characters refers to a “Beatrice” for heating water/making tea. I see @angelinawasrobbed suggested it first so maybe the mystery is already solved 😀

We called it an urn as well.

@CoffeeMugShot would that be The Peter Whimsy story where they get married and Mrs Ruddle mentions ‘the Beatrice’?

I hope it’s a Patricia Wentworth, Coffee
