Mumsnet has helped me put together some brilliant, varied playlists in the past and helped me find songs/ artists I’ve not heard of or had forgotten about. Really enjoying soundtrack pieces like Tennessee by Hans Zimmer, Theme from Schindler’s list, The Mission, Amelie - I know there are so, so many but please hit me with your favourites - I’m loving classical at the minute but open to anything!

Streets of Fire - 70s style, lots of great tracks (as someone who isn't into that sound at all.)

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover - amazing classical soundtrack. Same guy who scored The Piano.

Gattaca - another Michael Nyman one.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - can't go wrong with Nick Cave.

Another vote for Zimmer - this time the soundtrack to Vertigo. It’s a masterpiece. And when you’ve listened watch the YouTube video analysing it by Neil Brand.

I’ve enjoyed listening to some of these this morning - can’t believe I’d forgotten the piano and good to have some non classical suggestions too (though love a good orchestra!)

Into the Wild is gorgeous, by the musician from Pearl Jam.
The soundtrack to Baby Driver is good. I can't watch the film again though, because Kevin Spacey is in it...
