He's ignoring the law and after stuffing the Supreme Court with his people so he gets away with it, it will take a lot for America to recover any sort of global respect and trust. If he hadn't become President thus enabling ongoing charges to be dropped, he would probably be in jail by now.

President Donald Trump said he was watching volatility in the bond market in recent days and appeared to indicate that it was among the factors that led to his decision to institute a 90-day pause on some tariffs.
“I was watching the bond market. The bond market is very tricky. I was watching it. But if you look at it now, it’s beautiful. The bond market right now is beautiful. But yeah, I saw last night where people were getting a little queasy,” he said.

New now: The White House says Canada/Mexico tariffs will remain UNCHANGED -- still 25% over fentanyl concerns, with exemptions for USMCA-compliant goods.

I saw some footage of a Hearing with Rep Horsford absolutely blasting the US Trade Representative who only appeared to hear about the 90 day pause on his phone during the Hearing. I have never seen anyone look so awkward trying to answer.

Rep. Steven Horsford scorched USTR Greer: "There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation? What billionaire just benefited from this?" “WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you.”

Per CNBC: White House is now saying EU will not be punished for their retaliation because it hadn't gone into effect yet. So they only get the 10% baseline tariff.

That excuse just tells you in black and white how much they've contorted themselves in order to back the fuck off this poor strategy.

I think I've finally figured it all out..

There's clearly some sort of 13 going on 30 style body switching going off and the US is actually being run by 10 year old who has accidentally found themselves in an 80 year olds body and has no idea what he's doing..😂

I'm struggling to rationalise how he's getting away with causing so much chaos.

No - 10 year olds generally have the sense to ask the adults in the room when they get hard maths to do, not just ask the one they saw on instagram or tik tok

I’ve literally just been told on another thread that there is no evidence of any sort of impropriety with regards to Trump and Trumpsters making money from this. I’m honestly not sure what will convince folk that he’s on the take if his doesn’t.

I don't think it was planned. It's just Trump's combination of megalomania and complete stupidity. He really thought it would work.🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
