Also adding stuff to my drinks like collagen powder, creatine powder, protein powder…. NO IT IS NOT TASTELESS AND YES IT IS LUMPY!!! URGH!!!!

ahh that feels better!

Most things! No point in living longer if your quality of life is awful. I like tea, coffee and almost all food and have no intention of giving anything up. I am trying to persuade myself that if it tastes nice it's just as nice in small portion as a big one, because I'm overweight and I know my joints are creaking, but that's it. I doubt I'll ever go teetotal without a very compelling medical reason because I like a glass of something in the evening. I like going for walks and I don't mind lumbering round parkrun at the weekend. Never likely to develop a gym habit, though.

Serpentstooth · 02/04/2025 16:03

Run.

Titasaducksarse · 02/04/2025 16:05

Gosh I don't have an issue with most of the things others do lol! The one I couldn't do is give up tea though.

TragicMuse · 02/04/2025 16:07

Most of the stuff that ‘well-being gurus’ waffle on about in those articles about how they spend their day.

i wake up at 4:17 each day and spend 22 minutes doing my morning facial exercises.

Then I have a sip of oolong tea. I buy it specially from the grower. My tea must be grown at 8000 feet and won’t drink anything from below the tree line.

After that I have my first meeting of the day where I instruct the nanny on what to feed the children for the day. Their current favourite is goji berries but I find them a bit too carby so I only eat one or two a week.

At 7:28 am I do my intense yoga session.

etc etc

dieting , sooooo hard can’t do it

mysecretshame · 02/04/2025 16:18

It would have to offer more than living longer.
Having the fitness/skin/bones of a 20 year old until you are 90 and I might give up a few things. Especially if I could reverse things from now.

Otherwise I don't think I'd change anything.

Upstartled · 02/04/2025 16:20

I'm only running if I'm being chased.

Yopl · 02/04/2025 16:20

Yoga, I went through a period of trying to force myself to do it, but even if it added years of good health I wouldn’t do it as it makes me fucking miserable.

also cold swimming, cold plunges, cold showers, anything with cold water, just no.

candycane222 · 02/04/2025 16:24

Fast, or even diet (not that I think they are good for you anyway, have a friend who has done 5:2 for years and she doesn't seem fit or robust to me).
I'm a great believer in the health benefits of (plenty of) good food!

Tiddlywinkly · 02/04/2025 16:27

Consistent early mornings
No coffee
No alcohol
Ice cold anything

Nope
