I'm wondering what is a reasonable, healthy goal, and what is average?

Mines set to 1000 but I’ve only hit it twice this week. I expect to hit it multiple times each week as my fitness increases. I’ve committed to train for an event.

I’m also quite short and healthy weight/BMI and often wonder (hope?!) if that is why my daily calories used seem quite low, even though I’m very active.

Sorry to jump on your thread, but if anyone here can share their Fitbit stats, I’d be very interested in knowing what both your daily calorie burn and active mins are?

Yes, your calorie expenditure is very much related to your size. DH has noticed he’s having to be a fair bit more active to expend the same calories having lost quite a lot of weight, as is entirely to be expected from simple physics alone!

I’m short, only a tad overweight and 64, my apple move ring is set to 460 which afaik is the default for my age and weight (when I first had the watch it was 480, I didn’t change it myself). I usually complete it if I do an 8km flattish walk - job is very sedentary. Today I did 870 - that included a 11km walk up Win Hill in the Peak District and quite a lot of gardening.
