Where are you going and what sort of holiday do you plan to have, e.g. city break, beach etc? Let me live vicariously through your plans - UK, Europe, long haul all welcome! 😊

Bali for a month. Bring. It. On.

EwwSprouts · 30/03/2025 10:19

Rhodes for sunshine, beach and a bit of history. Never been to any of the Greek islands before.

workingcocker · 30/03/2025 10:25

Algarve! Can’t wait Grin

LittleGreenDuck · 30/03/2025 10:30

One child has GCSEs coming up, so we can't do much, but we're having a few days in Edinburgh, just to get some family time.

WDW and Miami. Can’t wait!

Snap!

TheFairyCaravan · 30/03/2025 10:32

Norfolk to see DS2, DDIL & DGS. It’s very handy having family living at the coast. We will be building sandcastles and eating ice creams come rain or shine.

Kapalika · 30/03/2025 10:43

Kuramathi, Maldives. V excited!

evtheria · 30/03/2025 10:49

One night elsewhere in England, premier inn. We are really excited Grin

Gall10 · 30/03/2025 11:03

I’m spending the week at Worgate….most people in the north east will have been there at sometime 😉

Wishihadanalgorithm · 30/03/2025 11:19

The Amalfi coast.

hideawayforever · 30/03/2025 22:09

Portugal, for a nice beach holiday....except the weather forecast for when we're away is better for where we live in the UK than it is for Portugal.

way2serious · 30/03/2025 22:20

A weekend in London to see Mamma Mia and catch up with DD2 and DD3 and then a week in Tenby with DP and Ddog. I haven’t been to Tenby since I was a child and am so looking forward to it! Work has been hectic over the last 3 months so looking forward to unwinding with some beach walks!

Malaysia for just over 2 weeks. Kuala Lumpur, Perhentian islands and Melacca.

I loved pretentious islands

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 30/03/2025 22:33

Skiing in France. Cannot wait to have some time off.

Katieweasel · 30/03/2025 23:19

Florence for 3 nights. A birthday trip away on my own. I can wander around as many museums and galleries as I like.

Disney land Paris

So who has had utterly shite weather?

I’ve been in Portugal for 10 days, we have 3 days left. We have not had one sunny day!!

There are worse problems I know but I just wanted to relax in the sun by the pool, we have just spent most of our time doing naff all in the hotel. Also spent far too much money trying to keep the kids entertained.

I once ventured to Portugal at Easter, never again! A couple of sunny days and then rain. It was so cold we had to put the (fairly useless) heating on in the villa. Stuck to summers since then. I hope your weather has a last minute reprieve.

Thank you, we do too 😊

This is out 4th Easter in a row in the same area and we have had amazing weather on all our previous trips.

CanOfMangoTango · 17/04/2025 20:19

Oh no @workingcocker

It's been glorious in Turkiye! I'm actually a bit sunburned. I usually wear SPF 30 but I packed the wrong bottle and ran out yesterday and started on DH's factor 20 today. I'm very pink in places 🙄

We were talking to the hotel manager though and apparently we've been very lucky. Last week was pretty cold and cloudy, they had rain as well. Perhaps it travelled west!

That’s a real shame, you just never know what you’re going to get do you?

Most cities in Europe I think are closed Easter Sunday/Monday.

Same here. I’m picturing every destination

We had two nice days in Seville but then two cloudy days and a day of rain. Nice days were 23° but the other two were colder than back home in UK 😭 Although it made sight seeing easier - it was still a lovely trip.

Bananajam · 22/04/2025 18:21

We flew to Rhodes and had two days of chilly 15° weather and a night of torrential rain but then five days of 22-24° and sunshine, not exactly swimming warm but definitely lounging by the pool weather! It was cooler in the evening but we got lucky as its still a bit early to expect very warm temperatures, the season doesn't really start until May apparently. It was difficult coming back to the miserable, rainy, cold UK weather and having to go to work!
