If you're going on holiday during the Easter break, where are you going?

Where are you going and what sort of holiday do you plan to have, e.g. city break, beach etc? Let me live vicariously through your plans - UK, Europe, long haul all welcome! 😊

DD is off on the school ski trip. DS has GCSE's starting in 6 weeks so he's stuck in his bedroom for the duration. DH and I are working and providing moral support. I'm jealous of DD!

Butlins, kids love it and so much more to do than centre parcs! We do premium dining as well, so no cooking (having to cook and clean up just isn’t a holiday for me!). DH is a snob and was raised very middle class and even he loves it.

Scotland with the family. We’re staying in a cottage on a working farm! Can’t wait!: www.unique-cottages.co.uk/cottages/south/borders/hb5-shepherds-rest

Isle of Wight - my happy place

Corvido · 28/03/2025 16:08

We are going to my favourite little cottage in Somerset. Just praying for the British weather to behave 😂 looking forward to some nice walks, visiting some local places and just eating, drinking and having a lie in 😴

Wild Atlantic Way, from Donegal to The Burren in Clare. 10 days. Fly into Knock airport and hire a car from there, fly out of Shannon. It looks amazing. Raincoats at the ready, but will take each day as it comes.

We're going to Hawaii, a week in Oahu followed by a week on Maui, no resorts just a nice rented house. Planning surfing, beach eploring, snorkeling, hiking etc etc

The DC can't wait 😊

Big trip to celebrate a big birthday

Ilovelurchers · 28/03/2025 16:33

A few nights in an Air B and B apartment with my daughter in Llandudno! We go a few times a year usually - we love it. Wouldn't mind retiring there one day......

pecanpie101 · 28/03/2025 16:34

Sri Lanka, can't wait!

IntermittentFarting · 28/03/2025 16:38

Mallorca - for some much needed sunshine, walking in the mountains, and my favourite cheese!

MyCatIsTheHeadChef · 28/03/2025 16:41

Glastonbury to see family. The Isle of Wight- ditto.

Our big trip this year is in August where we go to Queensland in Australia.

My DS (18) and I are going to Benalmadena. Its not everyones cup of tea but DS loves going. He has LD and Autism.

Days spent swimming in the pool or the sea, I cook dinner and then we go out to find a bar where they are playing live music. Thats his favourite part.

Last Easter we had low twenties and we are hoping for the same again.

offmynut · 28/03/2025 16:43

Benalmadena is one of the nicer bits of that part of the Costa del Sol. Perfect for a "fly and flop" break and very close to the airport. It's a quick journey for a day trip to Malaga city too.

I hope you and your son have a ball. And good weather too!

Bananajam · 28/03/2025 17:58

We're off to Rhodes (Kolymbia), to an adult only hotel for a week. It was a random bargain booked during a cold, dark evening via Holiday Pirates. I'd not planned to go anywhere in April but now I can't wait!

waitingforthehallmarkedman · 28/03/2025 18:24

Gutted that I'm not this year, although did Lanzarote at half term. Previous years we've been to Scotland, Tenerife and Turkey, but I'm buying a house this year so holidays are on hold😪

I love Benalmadena, helped by a short plane ride and quick transfer, I hope you have a wonderful time!
