Tablecloths - does anyone still use them?

I have a thing about tablecloths (see also tea towels).
I just counted the ones in the sideboard and there's 16, which does not include
the Christmas ones, which are upstairs in the linen cupboard.

Do you have a tablecloth on your dining table?

I have quite a collection, a few shop bought but lots hand made and embroidered by family members dating back to the 1940s. I don’t use a tablecloth everyday as we most eat in the kitchen but doing the table setting is one of my favourite jobs for special dinners and occasions. My tables are spectacular, damn shame about my cooking.

Always! Linen napkins too

Yes but I only have 2, DH uses a black one for poker nights and the Christmas ones live in the loft with the decorations.

Nope, I never use a table cloth.

My dining table is glass and I use leather place mats and that’s it.

I have a few but don’t use them very often. Sometimes when we have guests for dinner. I have a couple of IKEA ones I use on our outdoor table if we have people over in summer. And a plain red one for Christmas.

I also have a large collection of various table runners and placemats and napkins. I love setting the table nicely when we have people over.

Yes every day. I change them every day as well. Because we’re bloody messy

Yes, we have a bit of an ugly table my DP bought before I was on the scene. He loves the functionality of the expanding mechanism and perfect sizing of it plus it's nice solid second hand hardwood so it can stay. I have several pretty old table cloths and might get the seats recovered.
