Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just making my first cuppa of the day, after feeding the kittens. Boy kitten was up at 6am, pestering for food & came to snuggle up when I kicked him out of the bedroom for being noisy 🙈. (I got up and finished my cuppa, I haven't left it stewing for a stupidly long time!).

It's the kittens birthday today, so I suppose really, they're cats now 🥳. They have some new toys for their birthday, and some treats.

We have no plans for the day, I don't think. Both girls have homework to be done & I have a dress to finish altering for a friend so we'll do that. And dd1 wants me to put the last of the blue dye on her hair. I'll list some things on Vinted and carry on with next half term's peg dolls for display at work, ploughing through washing at the same time.

I have no idea what's for tea yet so will look shortly and take out a chicken for tomorrow at the same time.

Later on it'll be showers all round & more relaxing this evening. I'll either get out my crochet or book for an hour or two, before another fairly early night 💤

Enjoying a long lie in bed with a cuppa and scrolling Mumsnet. Heading to my folks for lunch then home to do a bit of work ahead of our school inspection next week. Will stop work early evening and spend the evening with my other half, maybe a takeaway and a movie.
Keeping things quite relaxed as inspection next week then we’re getting married at the beginning of April so will be very busy next few weekends!

Just back from a wet walk with the dog. He’s sleeping now. Cats refusing to go out.
Everyone else slowly waking. We have had such a busy time recently we decided this weekend will be a relaxing one.

Hoping DH will cook some bacon off soon. General potter about and tidy today. Reading for work to do and we go away next Sunday so clothes to organise.

Tea will be chicken something and a quiet night.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. Happy Birthday to the kittens 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾I’m having my 2nd cuppa of the day (DH brought me one in bed before he left for work) & have put the dishwasher on. Cloudy & a bit damp here in Cornwall but hoping it will clear up as I’m supposed to be going for a riverside walk with a friend I haven’t seen for ages. Lunch out too at a cafe. Picking up KFC for DD16 after I’ve dropped my friend at the station around 5 then DH & I will probably get an Indian delivered later in the evening. The one we’ve been using recently do a delicious duck curry which is now my go to & they’re very prompt, even coming a little early once. Will watch BGT & might dust off my footspa.

DD2 has invited us plus my sis for lunch today so looking forward to that. A rare treat. Nothing else planned. Dinner will be quiche and salad.

Morning all! We were up horribly early (for us!) for a Saturday as DD is off camping for the weekend. I may have come back to bed with a coffee since waving her off…

Today is a bit of a chore day that I’m putting off. I need to apply for a job, do the cleaning and go to the gym. But if I do all of this today, tomorrow can be very chilled, I keep telling myself!

A film and clean sheets tonight, and a face mask as I look knackered.

enjoying a lazy lie in! Dh has taken ds to footy, dd2 stayed at her boyfriends after work last night.
Just finished a book and going to head to the spa for an hour and call in to see MIL on the way back if she’s home.
This afternoon I think I’m going to hit the shops and treat myself to something - not sure what! Dh and ds will be going to the local football match and dd2 will be going back
to work. Saturdays are my favourite day as I mostly get them to myself these days!

i often think we should use Sunday’s thread to check if people had the Saturdays they planned or if it all goes to pot!!

im up and having a cup of tea on my big arm chair overlooking the street. Then will head out for a run shortly and probably pick up a pastry or some lunch on the way back.

i need to do some online shopping today and maybe Vinted listing. Then I’ve a first date early evening which I can’t say I’m feeling enthusiastic for!

hopefully back in time to sort a good dinner and watch some telly this evening as it’s been a busy week.

We’re having our usual quiet, relaxed Saturday morning sitting around in our pyjamas and drinking tea. Dh has had the week off work today so unusually he’s here this morning which is nice. He’s kept on top of the housework while he’s been off and lovely dd17 did a final tidy round and dusted downstairs last night whilst looking after dd10 for us. Dh and I went out for dinner and a couple of drinks last night which was nice.

Today I need to do a few loads of washing and just hoover around. Me, dd17 and dd10 are off to the cinema this afternoon to watch Snow White then back home for pizza, wine and ds and his boyfriend are joining us for the evening too.

Some decorating today. Had a water leak in the bathroom which has caused some issues in the dining room. Filled in around the edge of the ceiling yesterday, so now I can paint it. Fixing the leak was easy enough. Annoying thing is, the lounge and dining room have matching papered feature walls and we can’t get the paper anymore, so both walls need doing. Always ends up a bigger job.

It does give me a chance to paint a bit of the ceiling in the kitchen where my OH got red wine up there on Christmas Eve. We still can’t figure that one out.

I'm having an energetic Saturday. Tesco shop is done, I'm in the salon getting my highlights done. Then laundry, lunch, chores, we'll go for a swim at 3, before a lazy evening. Maybe a bit of gardening if I get time.

I'm sitting on the train heading to Brighton to meet an old school friend for lunch. We will talk solidly the whole way through. We have been friends for more than 40 years.

Up early because Mike and his nephew are doing the patio. I’m afraid for the boy’s joggers. I’ve seen far too much of his boxers!

I’ve done the ironing, apart from a duvet cover that I need to work up the enthusiasm for. Bathrooms have been cleaned, so I think we may go out for a bit.

I’m in bed, unheard of for me, but I feel absolutely knackered and am sweating like mad, so I’m assuming I’m coming down with something.
Its a beautiful day, I’ve managed to get a washing on the line and another on in the machine, but I’m not going to be getting anything else done today.

First load is in the washer here, tablets to take then I'll motivate & wash up mine & the kittens breakfast pots before I get dressed & hunt out something to wear to paint a shed at work on Friday 🤔

Just having a toastie and then I'm of to do the grocery shopping. Teenagers all still asleep but will no doubt surface when I arrive home with food.

Then I plan on blitzing the house as I am out all day tomorrow at the kids sports. Shower and clean pyjamas

Dinner is homemade nachos that DD15 will make.

Rest of the night on the sofa watching TV with a few beers and crisps.

Nothing much planned here today. DH is feeling rough and went to bed really early last night. DS is up but will vegetate in the living room with the tv all day I suspect.

I slept in till just after 8 which is unusual for me. Had just had marmalade and toast for breakfast with my third cup of tea. About to have a quick shower and then need to drop a parcel around to my elderly neighbour as it got delivered to us late last night for some reason.

I do have a large pile of ironing that I should tackle today. And I want to order some new lamp shades for some lamps. Then I’ll read for a bit this afternoon.

Dinner is an easy minced beef fried rice dish.

good morning to u all , lazy morning as got my grandson whilst his mam is at work mind they live with us at the moment so got him all the time realy 😂. Then goin for an Italian at 3 with my friend and 4 cousins which will prob end up being a late nite as there’s a pub just up from the Italian so we will end up there . Don’t want to be too hungover tomorrow tho as got all the family here for a beef dinner . 6 adults and 3 children 😳.wishing u all a great day

Having a quiet morning at home. DD has made off with my car (the joys of her passing her test 🙄), so I'll do my weekly grocery shop tomorrow, instead of today. Kind of nice not having to hit the supermarket first thing. I got stuck into housework instead. Having a quick cuppa before I mop the kitchen floor.

I've a friend calling in around lunchtime, to collect my lawnmower and bring it off to get it repaired. I took it out to mow the lawn during the week and I couldn't get it to start. It won't fit in my small car but my friend has a truck.

I need to type up the minutes of a meeting for a community group I'm involved with. That's about all I have planned. It's a rainy day here. If it clears up, I might go for a walk.

DCats are snoozing. It's a cat's life 😁.

Morning all!

DC at their dad's this weekend. Had a fairly relaxed weekend planned but interspersed with cooking/cleaning and getting ready for a house inspection..... and then I've had a wierd arthritis flare up (ongoing health problems) so I've actually been up most of the night in pain.
Supposed to be meeting a friend which I still want to do so need to try and get mobile. I'll just have to take it very easy this weekend I suppose! I went back to sleep after booking a shopping delivery so at least I haven't got to try and tackle aldi tomorrow morning.

Sausages for dinner tonight, I'll probably have them with horseradish mash and veg. Might make fajitas tomorrow 😋😋

My carer/ cleaner is here.
She's done a few bits for me.. but on a Saturday it's usually just chatting and lunch together. She's a godsend.
We having a quiche from the farm shop and salad...pool man here sorting my pool out..
Late afternoon my youngest daughter and her partner along with my Grandson and two step grandchildren coming round.
They will want to go in the pool.
Think we will all be going in.
Then will get us all a takeaway this evening.
Not sure if they are staying over.. they are all staying over. They only live 15 mins away but they do like to stay over.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I have one grandson playing with his switch while the other one watches Ben and Holly. The younger one is desperate to go to the park, however the older one played football this morning and is tired. I foresee ructions ahead when I try to get them out. Soup for the younger one, noodles for the older one. I'll have soup too. Later they can paint Easter eggs which will last five minutes no doubt. Then put them on the tree at my front door. Both boys are with me all day and overnight. I may require wine tomorrow night!
